Repeat after me...

"The dictionary is my friend... the dictionary is my friend"

From the Random House Unabridged Dictionary:

mu·si·cian [myoo-zish-uhn]

–noun 1. a person who makes music a profession, esp. as a performer of music.

drum1 [druhm]

–noun 1. a musical percussion instrument consisting of a hollow, usually cylindrical, body covered at one or both ends with a tightly stretched membrane, or head, which is struck with the hand, a stick, or a pair of sticks, and typically produces a booming, tapping, or hollow sound.

Synopsis:

A musician is a performer of music.
Drums are a musical instrument.

"The dictionary is my friend... the dictionary is my friend"

LOL - Thanks bro!

What kills me, is that if you argue with this synopsis, you are literally saying that the definitions of words themselves are wrong. In other words... "I know more about the true definitions of words than the masses of professors that edited the dictionary"

Funny stuff.

Lmao. Woo, okay, nice work, Craig. That settles that debate. Drummers are musicians! That is, unless like you said, we know more than the people who make the dictionaries.

Peace out, GuitarAnatomy.

YES WE CAN COOK...I have many recipe's from the ole Cajun cook Justin wilson....Heres an old road musician recipe'I came across yrs ago.....What you'll need:...1 electric stove...1 large pot...1/2 lb or so of pinto beans , 2 qts water AND 1 M60 fire cracker....When the keyboard player turns stove on and puts pot of beans and water on burner, drummer sneaks in after keybaord player has left kitchen carefully placing M60 under pot with fuse making contact with burner slowly heating....In 5 min or so, whole kitchen will REEK of bean soup...YUM YUM....

I do not know about the drummers, but I am a guitarist who is a fair cook, lol. I can cook corn beef hash from the can better than anyone? Lol. Actually, everyone has me make it because I know how to get it just right.

Bean soup, not sure if I would like that, The KIDD. Lol.

I like to cook, just not the best at it (Yet, I will be!).

But I have no answer to that question, if drummers can cook or not. No clue.

Peace out, GuitarAnatomy.

Lmao! No, they can walk, or they could not play the drums, but talk at the same time, they might fall. Now there is only one way left to shock the world when it comes to drummers, you have to find one who can pass their SAT's.

GA, if you spent half as much time studying, as you did typing on the internet, you could have passed your GED test a month ago.
:)
Are you playing hookey?

Lmao. Neh. I was home-schooled since the second grade. I completed school already, but as a home-school student you need to complete the GED as the diploma because we have nothing formal like traditional school students. I pretty much know most of the GED material, I will just need to brush up when the time comes. I have never been stumped overall by it, it is not that hard in Florida (As it is in other states). But actually, that reminds me, I have to see if the new dates are up. Every year the center where they are taken updates the dates, I missed last years dates due to family circumstances, but I will not miss this years (This month it should be, or early next).

One of the reasons I spend so much time online is because there is not else for me to do where I am. That is why people see me reply so quickly. Usually I am home, so yeah. As far as studying goes, I can be lazy about it. Lucky for me I am smart enough that I do not get blown off path much when not studying heavily. I find time though to study when I do my work. I type up medical reports, since that is the case I am constantly studying medicine.

Peace out, GuitarAnatomy.

You know, I'm sort of ambivelant about this "let's go to the dictionary" thing when we're discussing an issue. It sort of dumbs things down and tends to be a conversation stopper. The dictionary is great for getting dry and left-brained definitions of words, but it rarely gets into the subtelties of context or current colloquial folk meanings. It's also a lousy lens through which to view a topic when you are getting deeper meanings or the several layers of thought that can often happen in a more involved discussion.

Not busting your balls, Craig. Just sayin.
