Since I left I mean. I do not know what 'OLOGY' to use? This place has gone to the Dog's if you will. Since they/him dumped the robots, all that is left it seems, is Robots.

Since they/it/him/she, apparently do not need help in running this place, and since so many people have offered help. It just makes you wonder.
It's nice however to read so many complaints about this and that. I complain a lot, but not as much as...

I've left Facebook, MySpace is well.. Sometimes people just like the way things are, and there are good points in that too, however.

No offence given, or taken. Everyone has a choice, that is called what many call - freedom.

Cheers - Chipfryer

At least it is functioning on the General Forum. Other forums I frequent only have about two or three posts a day on their general forums. Worse than that, the music sections are all but dead. Aren't you grateful that you do not have a mandate to frequent this one? :) :)

Chippy!!

I was wondering what happened to you on FB ...!

Forget about the dissent and complaining here.. this country is in dire shape and people have a lot to complain about. Since we have little recourse and the powers that be are in firm control of everything, it's about all we can do..

So, more importantly- How have you been bro?

Hi peeps, thanks for the replies.
Sorry if I fluff around a little. FB got sickening when they deleted a lot of my talk history, I will never go back to it. There were some good moments on there, and I had a lot of fun.

I do understand about America. But I guess that role model is now everywhere from what I hear.....

Ah not that much musically frankly, just surviving, networking across the globe with various people that I meet increasingly. A lot of soul searching too, wondering what I'll do with what I have etc. Not much different to anyone else I suspect.

I hang around a lot on Reverbnation these days. It's only about music, and there is far less spam, the guys who run it are professionals from what I can see too. Quite refreshing for these days really.

And you?

Cheers Chipfryer

The only SPAM at reverbnation is FROM reverbnation, constantly trying to get you to enter this contest or that, the only requirement being you have to enrol in one of their promotional packages.

Well they are allowed to no?
After all, it is their business. Actually I got a few nice emails from various sources there, not all of them bad!
Enrol, I dunno, but stop complaining :D

Chip,

I tried Reverberation but opted out after a while. My son is on there and a few others that I know. I did get some nice comments but the social networking stuff is a real turn off for me. The Internet Like / Dislike thing is moronic as far as I am concerned. As mentioned earlier, the promo crap was the only activity my reverberation page got after a while. One good thing about it is that local musicians are grouped so you can hear what is going on in your own area.

I wonder how many people who have pages there actually check in after a while.

I don't trust Facebook anymore than I could throw them.. I had a MySpace account and still do, but it died like a dinosaur..

I see they are creating a new layout, much like that of RN, perhaps Google+
(Perhaps). A lot of people have left owing to it being too slow, cumbersome and so on. I was actually going to send a bulletin saying that I would delete that too, until I saw that. we'll see.

Just how many social networks does one need. If peeps like you, they listen, if not, they don't. I doubt anything will be perfect, but for now Rn works for my small needs.
Cheers Dane.
