I am completely sympathetic with inner city folks fearing guns, and everything eles.. especially if everyday interaction involved crowded trains, streets, and buildings I would want the most amount of control over people I could buy.

liberals do know best about their home turf,,they should be watched and counted every 20 minutes.

Sunday evening at 11pm a man had an argument with his ex-wife, she called 911, police arrived and he began firing on them, killing one police officer. This all happened within minutes. Are you trying to tell me that if he did not have guns that officer would still be dead? Or maybe he would have thrown "easily constructed fire bombs"? Only an idiot would believe this. AGAIN, FOR THE 100TH TIME, WE DON'T WANT YOUR HUNTING RIFLES OR SHOTGUNS. Semi-automatic pistols and rifles have no business being in the hands of the average citizen. Keep your pathetic cliches about "guns don't kill people", anyone with half a brain knows that guns MAKE IT EASIER TO KILL PEOPLE.

He could have taken out that cop with a blow-dart gun, A crossbow, a kitchen knife, an axe,, a chain saw, a car, a brick or a rock, an attack dog...even a banana...! and he might have used any one of these, except for the fact that the cop had a gun (To make it easier for the cop to kill that guy).


Given that scenario you described, if it had been a different guy with a gun, the cop might not have died, cause that guy might not have chosen to use the gun against the cop.

In the end, the guy that did kill the cop was obviously a criminal. No laws for or against would have stopped that guy.

Systems have since been implemented to make sure it never happens again, and so far it's working. This has nothing to do with domestic violence so please try to stay focused on the issue. We may not be able to take away all of the semi-automatic weapons but we can stop the sales of the ammo. Face it I'm not stuck with anything I don't want.

Jimmy you poor over educated brainwashed idiot. I said that only criminals would have guns if they were banned. I also said that people out to kill someone will find a way to do it. Besides, you don't know zip about that situation... where or when he got a gun or what his mental status was.

I know they didn't teach you this but our founders were in the process of waring with a government just like this present one. The fathers of this country were establishing a measure of protection for the future, in case a future government (Like the bastards in power today) would attempt to take our liberty and freedom from us. (Just as they are doing) We weren't allowed weapons for the purpose of shooing squirrels and little rabbits as your brain-washing instructors taught you. We were allowed to keep guns in order to hunt tyrants.

The only thing that will protect you is their sworn oath to protect the constitution, even before the orders of the president.

If Jimmy or others choose to defy any of this and "formulate" their own opinions then it is a free ???? country and all we need do is wait and eventually perhaps they will live long enough to understand or possibly percieve a hint or flash of thought before the blade falls, the gun shoots or the gas chokes...who knows ?

Glen good to see your Post. I was worried as I have not heard anything...let me know when you are completely email functional again. The Republic seems at this point to be lost and many seem not to care or even register it's tragic demise. Many of the older generations seem not to understand or to comprehend this and that things will never ever be the same as they once were ... ever. Slacker has the fire and the intellect but so many try their clever little tired one liners that are not even original and suffer from overuse. The flouride and aluminum are working and the slow kill has suceeded now things are heating up and the remaining frogs are not even aware.

I'll tell you for free - I could care less what these assholes declare to be legal or not. I was born free and I will die free - and those who try to take my freedom will bleed for it. Since I can't get hold of an RPG a battle rifle will have to do for that task.

Guns are indeed tools. But from the founders right on down to me - that tool has had one primary job: to keep power where it belongs - with the people who make this country work.
