Squodge - fascinating post, would love to hear you play that instrument.
Great thread and lots of fun, I love micro-brews as well, but I love to slum-it this time of year because I have an affection for Sam Adam's Octoberfest......I was raised in Pittsburgh, PA where everyone drinks Iron City Beer.....or what can also be referred to as "mysterious yellow water", so I feel I've matured in the beer area or taste...
As for music...my dad loves to lecture, when I was a teenager, I endured a very long lecture about how ignorant I was to pass judgement on music without listening to it first and developing a well thought out opinion on "why" I did not like it. I have never forgotten that lecture and by listening first, I have learned to find things in all music that is redeeming, but I seem to not be so willing to listen to folks who dress up in scary costumes, the visual makes me less tolerant (like Slipknot...ick...but not meaning Alice, Ozzy or Gene....I love those guys) but...I am afraid of scary movies too.....

Words are, in my not-so-humble opinion, our most inexhaustible source of magic. Capable of both inflicting injury, and remedying it...
