My wife and I drove 2 hours out to a county fair in central Massachusetts yesterday to see Carbon Leaf. Pigged out on junk food, got to the grandstands at soundcheck time, 45 minutes later the same weather front that caused tornadoes in New York City hit. Warnings came over the PA system for people to 'seek shelter'. They had covered everything on the small stage with tarps by that time. One of the band members came into the grandstands and hung out and talked with everyone for the next hour. Around 7:15, the fair announced they were closing for the night, so no show. 2 hour ride home in the rain and thunder and lightning.

The bummer about this is your reschedule ain't till next year. I love county fairs and the food is always the best. "Sweet Corn"

Mike,

I'm so happy that you are safe. That storm was very unpredictable and threatening. We got it here too, lots of wind and rain.

Bummers.

There was a country music show at the fair grounds not far from here. It was about 104 and humid. Lynn Anderson was the "Star" who was to perform. While hundreds of people sat and waited in a hot metal building with no cooling, the "Star" showed up, sang one song and then left. Then the crowd of sweat soaked people exited the building.
