PaperDog ...excellent perspective to Chaeya. I think that what you state about "making it right" can be applied across the World and History Board regarding Germans, Jews and many other cultures. The US has the dubious distinction of being first and foremost in every way, in this. The Atomic Bombs, Land theft, Racism, Conquest, Murder and assassination and a host of others.

How is all this being made right ? Well I think we are seeing this now and it is only the beginning. The question is now not how to get over it but how to survive it being True in Spirit. Most I feel are ill equipped and totally unaware of this.

This Forum and those posting on it have given me greater hope and determination ... especially whenI first began this thread. Which enters the question ... is there a limit to the pages here on this Forum to a thread like this ? Yod ... the more you say the more I like. I love your attitude and perspective and Posts. I personally prefer the personal ones to the political ones but then all are justified and have relevance in some way even if one does not agree completely with the political ones. Juneteenth was an excellent question ... it is one of those that I refer to as "manufactured holidays" which has not caught on because it is actuall based upon an idea with some merit instead of commercial aspects.

...Chaeya ... regarding "the past" yes, we are all what spawned us and with this comes responsibility and acknowledgment ... and placing proper value upon this with respect to learning and applying this to our lives and futures.

Hollywood is merely another "hole" or faction like the media that has become wornout ... how many times can you "remake" a film, ressurect some "dead" image , annointing it with the perfume of lies and thrusting it in front of the citizenry. The youth as a whole are "gone" I believe. The middle-aged middleclass are being forced into extinction and the aged and infirm are being exterminated and robbed.

Truth and Honour are no longer sought by the youth of the world. They have become mutilated and stolen... abused and murdered ... slowly with no redemption. There are still exceptions but their numbers are dwindling.

Thanks, Vampier. I love history, I love to read, and I love to analyze situations from different angles. I try to avoid the "us" versus "them" type thinking and I believe if there's a problem, that it comes from the perpetrator and the enabler, meaning everyone involved has contributed in some way, shape, or form. In all, I like to see myself as a realist and I prefer to see the low down dirty truth of matters. I don't color history with a noble bearing that was never there, which some people seem to enjoy remembering this America that, in my opinion, never existed. Like I tell salesmen, "put the script down and tell me what you're selling and I'll decide for myself if I want it or not."

To discuss things is to see both sides, it isn't so much about "changing" someone's point of view as it is learning something. Too many discussions turn into pissing contests where it's all about what one side knows that the other doesn't, and the term "stupid" gets passed around like a hot potato. I'm of the mind that I don't know anything, and if I portend to know something, unless I have supportive concrete evidence, it could be false, so take I prefer for one to take it for what you will. I've been lied to and those seeking to educate me have been lied to, and know no more than I do. And believe me, I've seen a lot of people lying without researching or reading actual documents or claiming to read actual documents and still spewing something that isn't even close to the truth.

I prefer to look into the true puppetmasters and how the show is run by outside forces. Still learning on that front, neither do I have the entire truth, but it is fascinating nontheless to see how people get influenced and swayed.

... Yod ... very well said. This is the current frustration of the few regarding the many. It is my frustration at times ... probably all of us can relate to this. The cowardice to "jump in" and get physical ... the cowardice to "speak out" and be Truthful ... The cowardice of "Turning a Blind Eye" to what goes on around them... coveting coin over Honour and the material over Love and Family and Truth.

You are absolutely correct in that being indifferent and remaining silent while injustice and prejudice abound is an endorsement of them all.

In world history, nearly every race of people have been enslaved or nearly genocided at one point in time. The most recent examples are obviously the jews by nazis, blacks in africa (by other blacks), armenians (attempted extermination), and I'm sure many others in south america and other places.
Some are currently still struggling with this.

It's something all of our ancestors experienced at some point in time.

The point is that it's not happening here in the US today. Nor is it happening in Israel. Yeah, I know.. one can argue that there are underground sex slaves and things like that in the US, but it's far removed and prosecuted when found. It's a crime, and hardly tolerated on any level.

So why do some races get to play these cards when their only claim is more recent atrocities vs less recent ones for others? Add to that that so many of us are mixed breeds that it becomes impossible to tell whose ancestors did what to who elses? I'm personally a mix of:

Polish, Hungarian, Austrian, Irish, German, English, Italian, Romanian, Norwegian, and possibly scottish. With all that mixed in, it's entirely probable that there's three times as many other nationalities mixed in and forgotten over the generations. Point is that my genes probably fall more on the receiving side of atrocity than the giving, but either way.. what right do I have to claim either??

Yes, there was slavery in Africa by other blacks and by the Indians by other Indians BUT:

-- These were prisoners of wars with other tribes.

-- Slavery was very prominent in the Muslim world.

And to that, both of these following rules and in cases of prisoners of war from other tribes and in the Muslim world:

You could eventually work your way into the tribe or family through marriage or being adopted as a son or daughter, or through some other merit.

In the case with black slavery - BLACK PEOPLE WERE LOOKED UPON AS LESS THAN HUMAN BEINGS WITH THE IQ LESS THAN A CHILD OR ANIMAL.

Then even after slavery ended no one wanted black people living around them. Many of the Northerners, for all their being against slavery - they wanted them to go back to Africa - They didn't want them freed to go and have the same rights as they did.

Still today, people look upon black people as less than human beings who are violent, they are unable to learn or possess the same rate of intelligence as a white person.

Yes, you can give a person back their rights and tell them to run along now, but when the opportunities are withheld from you or you're granted them due to some quote and not through earnings, it is like a cancer that eats away at your soul. And the entire race feels it. I feel and I can't stop feeling it.

You're still a white guy for all your English, Scottish and Polish blood, no one will look down on you. You won't be denied seats at restaurants or denied apartments, or people think you must be up to no good if they see you wandering around their neighborhood.

Do you know why I self-published my book? Because I wouldn't get published when my lead characters are non-whites. There was a huge blow up on one of my author boards about why so many black authors can't get published or their books read because white women have spoken loud and clear that they can't relate to a black woman or have flat out written that they were upset to find out an author was black or that the lead character was black. Yet, minorities read books with white lead characters all the time. We don't have a problem relating to them. If I state I write a book, people automatically assume I must be writing about the ghetto and crime.

I stated quite clearly above that black people haven't made it easy, and in some instances they have played the race card in instances where they were 100% at fault. But at the same time, there are still far too many instances where they weren't at fault.

Black and Hispanic people get far harsher sentences than whites, who often get commuted sentences.

There are still a great number of white women and men who get disowned by their families for hooking up with a minority, and that plenty people consider racial mixing a sin or worse.

Wounds never get healed when people behave as if there's nothing wrong. Anyone knows that through therapy and acknowledgement comes healing.
