The guitar player in many of my recordings was a student and friend of Danny and was mentioned in that article in Guitar Mag.[/b]

He played anywhere he wanted. Players from this region and Nashville
would come to watch him play.

lemme see now, if I say yes, then every thing will be harmonious again and I do not lose face, if I say no, then the foolish banter continues with an imbecile who got his feelings hurt cause I don't worship Danny Gatton's tasteless over the top playing ability..

where did you read I said you were Danny Gatton? I will turn that question around back at you about being alright? I was not speaking in the "1st person" one look at your page makes it extremely easy to know you are not a Gatton.. there is nothing I said to even make somebody believe I am not alright, you are the one that has a hangup about the significance of Danny Gatton, not me.. nowhere did I say anything bad about him, just saying it was true, Elton John was much more commercially successful than Danny Gatton.. and that's a fact.. not a lie, or even insane sounding

this has no basis in fact

even if you qualify your lack of judgment with the sales figures of elton john

Danny Gatton had a cult following and that was about all it was, kinda like a freak show on guitar steroids, . he was regional, and probably could be considered a guitar player's guitar player, but not as a guitar player, who's playing could be appreciated by the masses, otherwise he would have been a commercial success like Elton John was..

I'm not offended by your rather disconnected logic, I just dispute it

everything that was disputed has been edited sir, not even a hint a person would be suspect of Dane Ellis Allen's loyalty to the greatness and virtuosity of Danny Gatton's playing ability.but would be nice if you corrected your falsehood about Elton not being a player, since I just seen him play for the Queen of England on tv a few days/weeks ago.. . absolutely no faulty logic to be found now on my end,.. that's what I am starting to dislike about this board..it appears everybody wants to pick fights if you don't agree 100% with their opinion, and I am coming under the impression people take up sides here based on your political affiliation rather than music posted.. if a guy/gal does not think within expectations the they are judged to be pretty much sh*t no matter what they share with the board..

I have no intention of editing anything
Elton john has no notoriety as a virtuoso,
he is a pop icon not much different than lady gaga or justin beiber.
he , by his own admission writes very standard hymn progressions to provide a foundation for bernie taupins song writing.
he was, I understand quite the showman in his day; played dressup, the spectacles and what have you.
are you sure your not thinking of Liberace?

I'm sorry but elton john maybe a standard bearer in your world but I'm afraid he is way in the back of the line in the virtuoso dept.
