Right on, Sans

This General Chat section of the forum is rather more like the lunch room in a recording complex. And all the eves droppers come in here to see what is going on. But general chat sections on many forums are extremely slow as compared to Bandmix chat. Besides anyone can post their tracks here and most of us follow the links to hear them.. so what more do they want? :)

There's no law that says members have to read the political posts, they simply have to administer a little self restraint.

....???? Lynard ... it was not that long ago that you posted how you were leaving this Forum but ...... Now that is fine and well that you stayed and I take it as both a positive sign for not just the Forum itself but also for you. To all complainers ...read Slacker G's Post here and "process" it in your tiny little minds. Some of us are here because it is "general" has that not demonstrated the logic of us not going to one of the other "music" Forums and bitching about how we have to success in posting nonmusic Posts?

The people who run BandMix have much patience and are way ahead of the long slow curve of musicians who complain about not strictly music posts on a general Forum. Slacker is constantly pointing out the painfully obvious to everyone here on many subjects. Unlike myself he is not overly wordy and goes straight for the throat ... listen and learn. PaperDog always has relevance and great humour in his Posts. Yod is busy but he is another one whose words need to be heeded.

I searched for a long time to find something like this Forum and upon using it have found it far superior to any and anything I could have imagined. Haley, Dane,Glen, Scotty, Etu ... all have much to say and there is great wisdom in their words and feelings.

Music is Life and living and we are all linked through tone and vibration, musicians have always sang epics of what is going on in the world, heroic deeds and doers and laments of the infamous. Willie Nelson, Dave Mustaine and Charley Daniels ... there are some who are true to this purpose. I am of the opinion that any who complain about this "General Forum" posting "general topics that are not exclusively "musical" in their eyes ... need to realize how utterly ridiculous they sound and how utterly spoiled they are. This Forum is unique as many have clearly stated in many previous Posts.

This is not eternal ... wake up and realize this. Take advantage of it while you can. Post music Posts on the many music Forums and general Posts on the General Forum and slap yourself in the face, look in the mirror, have an expresso or a stiff drink ... whatever it takes to wake yourself up to the reality of what is going on around you at this moment in time. Those of us that do post what others term non musical here on the GENERAL FORUM do so out of hope and sharing and attempting to communicate .....is this not blatantly obvious ??????

Hey Vamp we can post whatever we want wherever we want.
I'm just saying all this election year political bs is crammed
down on our throat everywhere.

And like you it's all talk, no action, sure it's fine to talk about
it, but if your really concerned how come you aren't out beating
the streets trying to make a difference. It's no different then
trying to form a band of this forum, all talk.

Like Elvis said, a little less conversation a little more action.
We can speak of highideals while we sit safe and secure in
front of our computer, but to make it out to be anything more then talk is bs. If Slacker feels so strong against Obama, get out there
and work for somebody running against him, we all run our
mouths. If you feel so strongly go to Washington and try to
effect change.

No will just talk a big political line but leave the agents of change
to someone else, cause we think were going to change the world
typing on our computers, ain't gonna happen.

Come on the hippies in the 60s got out there and tryed to
change the world, they didn't just come up with historical
references and talk of change, they were out in the street
trying to change the world.

While you might be very intelligent and seen a few things
in your life, now it seems you are delegated to just talk a
good line. Why, are you afraid to get out there and confront
the problems where they exist, or just content to type it
on your computer. Or say it can't be done, the world has
always been full of big talkers, but not so many men of
action.

Do something to change it, don't just type about it!

Peace

Yep, what he said..

To paraphrase..Time is short, post your music and get on with it.

Don't pay attention to those that don't speak music because it may cost you some time that might be even more dear to you than you currently realize.

If I didn't get it all, I do apologize Vamp..

Sometimes with that dry, crusty, omniscient delivery I wonder if there isn't something more relevant and mind blowing I could glean from you in a moment of conversation.

...like a whole tune.. lol

... Lynard ... You are correct, you can post when and what you want....that is the beauty of this Forum. Any one can and that is the appeal and quality of this particular Forum....FREEDOM. We agree on this. And yes the election crap is nauseating and I also agree with you on this as well.

I do take exception to being labelled all talk and no action ? You xaying this about me is equivalent to me commenting on your sex life and passing judgement on your sexual abilities. I would never do this as I am rather unfamiliar with your bedroom habits and domestic life. You know very little about me as well and what you do know is through the peep hole of this Forum so you really know Jack. But you pass judgement on your scanty info and that is fine as well. What others may think I know not.

Nevertheless you ask a very good question and a fair one ... why am I not out "beating the streets?" Conversation is action despite what Elvis said. Elvis devoted a lot of action to taking drugs and eating if I remember ... not my idea of action or good use of one's mouth. We are anything but safe and secure in front of our computers.

I see that you think "voting" is no useless activity. Understand that there are those of us out here who "know" it is. Futile voting ...Futile demonstrating ... Futile letters to your Congressman/Political Scum. That is why Slacker and many others are not out there working for any Political Filth. Voting is BS. "Campaigning" is BS.

Washington is only one of the 3 Citedals of Evil. The Vatican/Rome and Buckingham Palace/London are the others. They are the nests. Tell me do you walk into wasp nests or rattlesnake dens ???

Computers have and are changing the world Lynard ... you are old enough to know that. There is a saying which I rather like ... "Never trust a Hippie". Did they defeat the World Industrial Military Complex ??? The Rothschild Empire ??? or did they become a part of it ??

The Hippie did not stop Vietnam or any of the other numerous wars perpetrated by the US. They did not alter the NWO plan in any way except by making it easier. What lasting cultural achievements have they left us with ???

I relocated, changed my entire life because of my beliefs. I am not "afraid" to get out there as I am one of the few with balls enough to speak out and to take a stand ... vocally, musically and over the internet. I am constantly urging through my Posts here for others to do the same. I write and send out to a select few what I call The Communique which is a bit radical to the eyes of many. I am writing an entire production around all this. I do not vote because if I did it would be with a bullet and I would then have to "vote" with a butt load of them. I do not hide my beliefs anymore than I do the Truth. I try very hard to actually walk the talk as they say. This needs to be done with me or without me ... it matters not.

I am not the most intelligent person nor do I try to pose as that ... I am merely myself. I am not the best writer or vocalist but I am constantly writing and singing and painting and building and all sorts. I am terrible on the computer and I really do not like them but I see them as a useful and effective tool and medium to exxpress myself and try to effect change. I try to be as patient, polite and logical as I can to further my arguments and purpose. I have many shortcomings and freely admit them. But I am no coward Lynard. I once again urge you to read the Code of Bushido and see how you yourself stack up against it.

Yes the world is full of big talkers and there are also liars...they are the Political Filth that you and other idiots vote for in your well meaning but uninformed floundering.

Scotty ...thank you for your Post. I have missed you.

PaperDog ...What can I say ... nothing ... just a slight vampiric smile.

Why do you hang on the general forum where topics that are not music relates are posted when there are 15 other forums at Bandmix that deal predominately with music only?

I can't believe all the dumb shits that come to the general forum where you go to talk about topics OTHER than music, the GENERAL DISCUSSION portion of Bandmix, and complain that people on the GENERAL FORUM aren't talking about music enough. No wonder fearless leader was elected... nobody can think for themselves anymore. I'll make it easy for those of you who have difficulty getting there.... CLICK MUSICIAN FORUM or Bandmix forum index at the top of this page. (Right above that white space ) When you do that you can go to the other Bandmix forums that ARE music related...... or just stay here and ask stupid questions and complain if you wish. :)

I'll be here to help the "barry" supporters who can't figure it out.

Like duh.............

Well said Slacker! This is the very reason why you RARELY see me post on the other Forums here at BM. I post on general chat and Musicians and Gear. I get enough of music playing learning and performing. I like to come here for ENTERTAINMENT when I need a break from the WORLD! Sometimes I vent a little to aggresively but I think most of you folks are used to that by now and if you don't agree just ignore me because I AM NOT GOING AWAY. You are STUCK WITH ME LOL!

Ditto That Jeff... I come to this forum (General) cause its the virtual Green room for musicians to let their virtual hair down. In real life, I got access t dozens of musicians, whom I can telephone up and ask serious musical questions to. Like wise, i know in a heartbeat I can ask them here if i needed to.. But, The Music biz seems like such a circus act...Its nice to let us clowns have a coffee break , unwind and get our thoughts off our chest (Watch out for the fake squirting flower). I dont intend to go way...But later this year I might slip off incognito for while...
But all YOU GUYS ROCK and that's why I keep coming back! :D :D :D 8)
