I am curious about who all you are, I would like to separate the bots from the men and women, and thinking the only way to find out who is sincere is for all of us to meet at Lake Pomme De Terre this coming fall and we could have a giant jam session maybe setting a record for the most guitar players jamming on "Cocaine" by J.J. Cale at one time?

ha...pomme de terre mo is around 2 1/2 - 3 hrs from me!

dane....you ever make it to Jefferson City? i've a gig there at Twin Bridges Bar & Grill on Saturday. we don't usually perform Cocaine in that lineup but perhaps we could make an exception for ya.

it would be a fer piece to travel, but would love to do it if I was a little closer, do you mind me asking, if you have a combo or a solo act? and is it acoustic music or heavier type music?

Sure, come on up Dane, we have a show Friday, I'll not only let you play "Cocaine", I'll let you do it right on stage.

"Cocaine" I know has been played to death and is considered a bar room classic, but you can't really beat it if you want to improvise a six or 8 minute lead guitar solo within it, I always have done it in E major..and a guy can't mess it up cause J.J. Cale's version is so much different than Clapton's version, so it's an idiot-proof tune to perform live, trouble is when I sing and play it at same time I have to do those syncopated like E9 chords on 12th fret or it throws me off otherwise..

'Smoke on the Water' is the traditional song for setting guitarist-number records. 1683 in 2007: http://www.worldrecordsacademy.org/mass ... _70204.htm

I am not a bot. And I'm not traveling 1500+ miles to Missouri, either!

not trying to be weird, but if we could set a world record with number of guitarist's jamming on "Cocaine", might get us all good exposure..

i don't mind at all.....i mean it's not like you're asking if i'd give my house up to a "Native Indian" or anything! yuk, yuk.

i play in a few different groups and lineups but this gig it's myself and my buddy val goodrich (she's really, REALLY good). we have a duo we call VAL & MAL. she's on flat top acoustic, harp, and vocals, i'm on bass, mando, gtr, sometimes dobro or lap steel.

we'll have Monte Safford the drummer i work w in PLANET JAZZ playing w us so we're looking forward to that. Monte is a KILLER!

we play mostly originals in a bluesy, folk rock vein. (damn, music descriptions just sound soooo goofy sometimes)

you can click on the VAL & MAL link below if you wanna check out some video of us performing.

tell ya what, dane...you make it out and the first one is on me!

Nah, just play it in a club that already pays their fees. Then you are covered.

I think the bots use proxy servers to allow them to give fictitious addresses.. using a proxy server allows you to go untraced.. when you see somebody with a location of Bumfukk, Egypt you know he's a redneck! this will confuse the hell out of the GLENNY J bot .. he'll want me to simplify it with a one-liner but the boy won't learn nuthin" if I don't make him learn why..LOL!

I sure would like to meet you some day Dane. Even though we have different political views I know now you are one HECK of a GOOD person! In fact I would like to meet a lot of you guys. Its just with every one so busy between family and their bands it is next to impossible. Having said that you never know what the future holds!
