I hope at the very least it is an honest contest & not a scam set up to benefit somebody's brother in law.

Best wishes, do your best, and have fun.
Really can't ask for more than that can we ?

It's an honest contest! It's an annual one sponsored by a very credible (local) music school/studio.

But wait, there IS more you can do! :)

I know some of you are allergic to Facebook (and for good reason), but it's a convenient place for me to start a page quickly and cheaply. If you're one of the unlucky souls with a facebook account, please clicky clicky clicky on the link, then clicky "like"!

I'm planning on posting updates on our band's preparations for the show - including (hopefully) some videos of our band-practices.

Thanks guys!
Chris

Man - so they pushed my band forward a week, we're now playing on the 16th - and wouldn't you know it - there's a Kiss/Motley Crue concert on that date... 4 (maybe more) aren't coming because of it... go figure lol. Oh well.

I posted a video showing us at practice going over one of our songs.

Cheers,
Chris

Sounds good to me, I love that song, I have never played it, but love the opening riff!

Hey tell your drummer to smile at the camera!

Good Luck and let us know how it goes.

I remember years ago playing in this guitar competition, playing Johnny Be Goode, which I had played a gazillion times, and I flubbed the opening riff!

Our drummer just started playing last year lol. I know, we should find a more experienced drummer, but he gets the job done for the most part. When I feel like I'm experienced enough to demand better, then I'll start looking for better :D

Thanks, and I will let you know how the comp goes.
