This forum was fantastic when I first joined it. Hard to get in, hard to get out, just plain hard. But when you were in, you were in.
In fact I had a lot of respect for it, just like a club where strangers drop in and everyone looks at them in a dusty and smoky bar in fact.
But... when you got to know them, all was ok, and you became a face.

There used to be something cultish about BM too. I guess FB killed off just about everything, but FB in turn is being killed by Google+. And then the next one, then the next one, and the next.

A few folk are missing from here. I won't mention ID's, but they are sorely missed, at least by me, and folks don't write too much these days, another sin from FB. Forums are almost kinetic in some ways. They are in fact, or were the sole source of info when searching for something. I guess if I were to type in OBAMA, I would find BM among the listings.

I've starting writing newsletters on various things, not just music here:

I do not shout at newcomers, I welcome new friends, and heck we can all do with friends these days. If you are interested, hook me a line, and send me your stuff to listen to.

I'm off to 'Solisbury Hill' tomorrow. I named it such for it's beauty. No people around to shout, and annoy you. Rather like bliss.
I hope that you all have a fab weekend, and that arguments cease to some point at which new folks can actually get a word in before the shouting again begins. :D

Be well, stay safe.

Chip, I agree with you wholeheartedly about FB, assuming you're talking about Facebook. I recently deleted my FB page. The vast majority of people on there have the FB page for publicity and there's very little give and take. There's also security and privacy issues with it that are getting worse. A friend of mine who builds supercomputers for a hobby told me it's bad news and recommend I delete it so I did.
I would be interested in finding out about your newsletters. I have published a fake news website called Levitynews.com. I am looking for occasional contributors to it. If you're interested in learning more send me an email.

No worries Bob.
Yep about facebook. easy access both ways. I deleted my account some time ago since they deleted what I'd written. What I wrote, I wrote. I see no need for him to have others delete that. I think this is called freedom.
No such thing as super-computers. Ram, Memory and the box plus a vid card so you can see what is happening, is good enough.

Sure thing. I'd be interested in hearing your news too.

Thanks for being real Bob.
