"Government ISN'T taking anybody's freedom of choice away when it comes to food. You are seriously over-reacting. "

Really?? They forced McDonalds to change their menu through pressure. They are making farmers cut down their herds through the EPA. (Probably has nothing to do with the first busybodies suggestion that we cut down on eating beef) They have crackpots trying to pass legislation to tax sweets. The Bozo in NY wants to pass legislation outlawing soft drinks over 16 oz.

Wake up folks. These Socialists want to control every aspect of your lives.

Don't worry. Soon there won't be enough food for everyone. Fearless leader is campaigning in Mexico now with the help of the Mexican government. He is telling them to be sure to sign up for food stamps and other programs when they get to America. At the end he says "This message has been approved by "Fearless Leader" (Excuse me if I don't type his name for fear of puking on my keyboard.)

He is offering your tax dollars to people who aren't even here yet! Good luck with your kids futures.

Denny,
Reagan didn't regulate our choice... Hers was a campaign of persuasion, an attempt to persuade a target audience (of American kids) to adopt an ideology). There was no penalty or denial of resources if kids failed to adopt the ideology. (Drugs were already illegal. ) So hers was not a legislative imposition on the american people. Same thing with Bush. She compelled (not coerced) Americans to consider methods for supporting children's education and womens health.

Michelle's intentions were not whacky, but her method is unacceptable. She wants to pass laws that say you aren't allowed to choose a grease burger from a menu. She wants to down size your biggie lunches, through law enforcement.

Other than having healthier school lunches I don't know of any other legislation. Can you name specific legislation?

Now if kids are getting gov. paid school lunches, then I don't have an issue with making them healthier. If you want junk food, that's each person's option on their own dime on your own time.

If she was pushing legislation on "unhealthy" food that has nothing to do with gov. aid (like SNAP or school lunch program) or in public schools then I'm with you.

So far, I don't know of anything she's doing beyond public schools stuff and child obesity. And the vast majority of it is talking to people, not legislative.

Nobody as far as I can tell is doing or saying anything about you can't eat what you want.

I mean geez is this going to turn into "Obama is coming for your guns" next? (which he ain't, not even close)

Did I miss something?

Maybe a fair way to describe this...Reagan tried to "persuade" Americans, where as Michelle has tried to "persuade" lawmakers. Neither one coerces the people (yet)

Having so much funn that you wet your pants and broke your spell check?
You just stated, that I stated, that "YOU ARE HERE DOING RESEARCH" when as everybody may see for themselves that I said "I'm here doing research" nothing about that sentence would even imply that I am not from here. Maybe you need to lay off the booze if you are not smoking too much pot, and if you are not a drunken stoner, then it might high time to get that Alzheimer's check up that your wife was saying you needed.

Dunning-Kruger, yeah right, you just fell into every hole you laid for your self and now you are the one really denigrating themselves to the 1909 studies of Carlisle and Jordan.

You are becoming very, very , funny.

But thank you, at least I know with a 10 IQ I can still hang with someone as brilliant as you.
