I'd laugh except it is serious.

I'm afraid Sans has the best handle on this whole mess. This isn't about Syria.

This is about control that goes way beyond what you see.

BAAAAAAH BAAAAAAAH BAAAAAAAAAH, :(

Geeeeezwiz, this lunkhead reads half a headline and is up on his rooftop screaming about conspiracies.

Christianity is a much tougher religion than most folks realize or wish to admit. in theory, you and I should both be willing to sacrifice our lives to save one who is perishing.

God plays rough - from our perspective. His view is eternal and we are more concerned with the next drink or good meal. Sometimes it seems like He is pretty mean but then I'm reminded of Job, who apologized to God for daring to second guess Him.

Strange universe. But stranger for those who are perishing I'm sure.

Mike I just had a discussion about this with a very close friend of mine (We actually locked horns and I fear that I have alienated him now.) I posed the question: If God is all knowing, then he should already know each of our fates. Whether we accept him or reject him...he already knows...Thus, why does he not just go ahead and be rid of the evil people, which he already knows will remain evil?

Now, I have a glorious answer to that question, and it did not set well with my friend , who is an adamant Christian. Mind you, the question was not centered around religion..it was centered on being an 'appropriate challenge" to the concept of 'free will' and 'choice' , with respect to acceptance of Christ , followed by salvation.

If you want the answer, I'll share it in another post...but many people will not like it or even buy into... Actually, they just don't want to explore it... :) [/i]

Ok this is not about Christianity. This is about a bunch of rebels that are done being oppressed and controlled by a dictator that has pushed them over the edge. That's why at least 1700 have died.

The conundrum here,,, Is Assad is willing to use SARIN gas the same as Hussein, against his internal enemies??? The problem is where did this deadly WMD come from. If he created and stockpiled it, that would mean he broke every treaty, and every human decency possible.

If he didn't create and store this stockpile,, WHERE DID IT COME FROM?

There's gonna be egg on everyones face. BECAUSE REMEMBER,,THERE WERE NO, NONE , ZERO, WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION, that were shipped to Syria from Iraq.

That is where the conundrum lies, and that is funny as hell, because if he uses them the truth will come out. The chatter and the desperation grow.
If he doesn't use them Assad will lose his control.

Oh VINNY THE VIOLIN. Who the hell are you? 3 Posts and not even a band mix link. YOU ARE A FUUUUKING COWARD!

Actually sir, I am really quite sane and I'm here doing research for my dissertation on pop-culture manifestations of the Dunning–Kruger effect ... and you seem to exhibit this cognitive bias most splendidly ... thank you for your contributions! :D

Well you got the sir part correct. But just so you realize it is not spelled CANADUH. Some one with your extreme intellect should be very careful about doing research. Especially about something so intensely serious.
You are not even from My country. You are not from Tenn. You are hiding behind the fact that you are a total BULL SHIIIT artist. I rang your bell little girl. Now do you wish to continue?

It's animals like you that will go out of the way to start WW3.
6 posts and all you did was hunt me down.
Any way it doesn't matter, you don't have any courage, (no link), and someone as little as you will be the first to stick their heads up to watch incoming. You Funny,,,

It is of course no surprise that the subtle humor of substituting "da" for "duh" in Canada should fly right over your head ... duh!
"You are not even from My country" are you saying you are a Mexican? Then why don't you go home if you don't like it here? :?

If formulating an intelligent response to this is too hard for you ... it's perfectly alright to call me names instead/

Post by all means. One point of disagreement - I'm not much on free will. Since I'm a Confessional Lutheran (the hard core 8) ) I believe myself to be saved by grace and not by works (including any 'decision' on my part) lest any man should boast. (loosely quoting Ephesians)

To me, it's about "Free Won't." Christ died for all, but some, indeed many will say, "No thanks..."

Talbot's definition of Freedom:

I can worship as I wish

I can own a gun

I can buy a drink.

In Syria, under Assad, you can do that. Yeah, he's a prick. But not near as big a prick as the Muslim Brotherhood so beloved of Barrack the Swine.

I'd note those conditions held true in Iraq too, before we "Liberated" them. Now, under the constituion we gave them, they have Sharia Law, have hosed the Christians and have no Second Amendment.

Do you notice a pattern here?

You are a LIAR. You have a blocked link. Most likely because you are trying to make contact from a country that doesn't believe in individual freedom. You are being censored as you write.

Sorry dude, It took me a while to figure that out. Good luck.

Holy Smokes Mike! You answered it in one clean sweep! Good job. Essentially, most Christians follow the order of precedence that one must commit to the act of accepting Christ, in order to "get" saved. I contend , we already have salvation and are allowed to keep it, unless we decide to reject it. Now heres the part that pissed off my freind... I told him : "If you are suggesting, that with the all knowing God, that you can 'exceed" God's expectations (beat fate) then everything they have told you about God is a lie. Else, we cannot beat fate. Thus we are saved , unless we purposefully reject fate (Aka God's Plan of salvation) . (And thats the free will I am talking about)

Glenny,

Pay absolutely no mind to Vinny. Indeed, Ignore this little sophmore... The irony in his accusation and innuendo , toward us (re Dunning -Kruger effect) is that he is certain about it... and at the same time, the irony is lost on him.

Note: In a nutshell, the Dunning-Kruger effect suggests that smarter people have doubts and indecision. You see the irony I speak of, yes?
