ya know, what I can't figure out is why this MUSIC forum has devolved into a political discussion forum.. every time I come back here I see MR. HALEY bashing the President or something...kinda pisses me off after awhile...

This was a music thread, until you posted something about illegal immigrants...

and let it be a MUSIC thread, ...my fault this time, I'm to blame,,but within a day or two, there will be more Obama bashing, and then I will raise a fuss again,... just stop the nonsense ... Jeff, I Dont think he is Dylan... Couple of reasons... Compare profiles and note the manner of prose/ articulation between the two:

Passive Verb:
Dane appears to use a lot more passive verb in the prose, than Dylan.
Dylan is more aggressive , succinct , straightforward style.

Misfired sales Pitch:
Dylan can discern musical audiences and recognizes he has no significant audience. Dane is almost the opposite, and believes he has "followers". As such, Dane has graced all us "little people" with a discount on the free downloads of his songs. Dylan would NEVER do that... and in fact, It was Clear that Dylan was tired of being one of Dane's "little people" , thus he bailed.

Intellect
Dane explores thought more dynamically than Dylan. Dane is capable of circular thought,,Dylan is straight linear...


These are but a few of the cues, which suggest to me the absence of a likelihood that Dane is Dylan.

Just shows - if they can pull the plug on Sir Paul and the Boss - with no warning - the man can do it to you, too. There was another thread here about curfews.
Most venue owners/managers are cool about going over the limit by a few minutes (the same reason they have last call at the bar at 12:30 when they close at 1), but a 1/2 hour is enough to have the city pull your license.

I've heard the pubs close around 11pm in England, but there are underground places that stay open later.

The bars close at 1am in MA? That sucks, they close at 2am here. There was some talk of changing it to 4am but nothing ever became of it.

I hate to admit it, but after years of playing places that were open til 3 or 5 am in the morning, I wish they all cut thier live music off around midnite, especially if Im playing in them! LOL!

Most places in my area are done around 1am, Beale Street in Memphis goes to 5 am.

After midnight we gonna let it all hang down!

I know Jimmy after midnite is when the crazy comes out of everyone, Im just being sarcastic about staying up past my bed time, and losing valuable beauty sleep.

Our last gig, the people that hired us wanted us to start at 8 pm and go til 12, funny thing noone really showed up til around 10, in my area 11-1 seems to be the time period when everyone is fired up, we wound up playing til around 12:30.

Some towns/cities in Mass. allow clubs to stay open until 2am. IT all depends on the town, the actual entertainment/liquor license and where the place is located.

Weird laws - in New Hampshire you are not allowed to have liquor (including beer) on stage!

Note to self: cancel New England tour.
