OMG, went with the wife to some garage sales last saturday. This old lady said her X had this stuff and she didn't want it.

Read it and weep... All of this for $160.00

Now is the time to find the deals!

I hope you intend to report your actual net gain to the authorities,,,,

It's the law!

Now that it is on record, I'm sure Dane is going to turn you in.

Besides you have to help knock down almost 16 trillion in debt.... A few more deals like that and you can save the country!

Sweet ... for the first several years NOISY KUNG FU operated our drum kit mics off an old SUNN / FENDER PA and some other gear Tony picked up for $50.00 at a garage sale.
Two of the old mics are still in use today.

I keep my eye out for gear while I'm out "pickin" with my wife.
Estate sales are usually a little more pricy but you can often get first choice over gear most people don't even know what it is.

I have 2 guitars, a mic stand, couple of cords, Arion analog delay pedal and I think a couple of other items I picked up cheap at garage sales. Both guitars cost under $30 repairs and all. One is a 1966 Harmony that is absolutely excellent for slide and raunchy stuff like a couple of ZZ Top songs. Sounds just like early Santana if I punch up the overdrive pedal. The other is good for slide too, (different tuning, usually open G) and a lot brighter. It's a semi hollow tele copy and I replaced the neck pickup with a humbucker a couple of years ago, works pretty well. Thinking about replacing the neck soon...

People are too savvy around here, I think - they put music equipment on Craigslist first. All the garage sales have are racks of old ugly clothing and kid stuff. I don't even stop, just drive by.

ahh but you are missing what is behind the racks.

Last Saturday I picked up a 1/3hp 6" bench grinder for 20 bucks. My toe nails never looked so good.

Fact . . . some of it might not even be "for sale" till you show em some cash.
In this phucked up economy where tax thinks it's the king, cash talks and bullshit walks evermore so.

Around here it's a bunch of fat-assed overweight Hispanic women pawing through the racks from behind!

I've already mentioned this in another thread, but I recently got a 1985 Aria Pro II Knight Warrior for $20 at a yard sale.

I normally wouldn't repeat myself, but hey, it was topical.

I picked up one of those little mics you clip
to your shirt(like they use on TV), down the
street this morning, for 2 dollars, brand new
in the box. It was Japanese from Realistic, so
I bet it's from the 80s, had a little inline preamp
of some sort that required a tab battery(not sure
what she paid for the battery). It says on the box
studio quality, think I'll clip it on and use it while
singing thru my SM58 at the same time.

Lynard, those are used for "remote mic set up" for video interviews.

They are electric condenser mic's, your feedback controll will be almost nill.

I really have no ide about it RG,
for 2 dollars it works, I'll play with
it for a while and then sell it or give it
away. Says in the directions its a studio
mike.
Just another toy to play with, then I'll grow bored
and find a new toy.(I haven't played withit yet,
but my grandson has and he likes it, might end up
being his)
