A photo ID law inhibits poor people from voting? Does that mean the majority of poor people are liberal? Would you complain if most poor people were conservative? It's as plain as the nose on your face that you wouldn't complain if poor people were conservative. If a poor person doesn't have AnY verifiable photo ID like all of us TAXPAYERS I say screw'em, they don't have the right to vote. And, I'm NOT a conservative...

ok fisherman bob, let's make everybody get a photo ID for them to be able to vote, let the state government issue them a photo ID card free of charge and I won't bring this up ever again.. I just hope next year the Texas legislative branch does not up the stakes to where you now have to own at least 5 acres of land to be able to vote.. I could still vote if they do that, but a lot of city slickers will be up a creek without a paddle if new laws make it a progressively better country.. I'm a dumbass but I think there was a time in American history that only landowners could vote? why not bring that law back again?

I'm not asking for any laws of yesteryear. I AM asking that ALL foreigners who come into the USA sign the guestbook and get issued a valid photo ID so we know who the hell they are, just as every other country on Earth requires foreigners to sign their guestbook and gets issued whatever ID is required to stay/live in their country. One of the obligations of our federal government is to protect USA citizens. It's readily apparent that they have been doing a piss poor job of it.
Ironically there is now a net LOSS of illegals in the USA as many of the illegals are heading back across the border, so much so that a few of the Mexican states have complained that they cannot hande the return of their own citizens!
The entire issue of illegal immigrants is a joke. Laws already on the books are being ignored, U.S. employers are making beaucoup bucks hiring illegals under the table, illegals having access to U.S. goods and services without paying a penny in U.S. taxes. The whole thing is a joke and you're worried about voter's photo ID's? Your posting this issue shows your lack of concern for the American taxpayer who has been getting RIPPED off by every offending party.
I'm NOT a conservative or a Republican. I'm an American who wants existing laws upheld and want 100% of my taxpayer dollars go toward the benefit of Americans, not those who sneak into this country, don't sign the guestbook, and don't contribute to US, Americans.

I would love to have some of the voter's rights laws of yesteryear such as having to pass literacy tests to be able to vote.. that would solve your guest book remark referring to illegals completely ..it would also prolly keep HALEY from voting too however...

To run my stupid little oil company, ME an American citizen in good standing..

I have to be FINGER PRINTED an PHOTOGRAPHED by the state police. Then there has to be a complete back round check by the FBI. This has to be done every 4 years. Every 5 years I have to retake the hazmat test, and prove that I am who I am. I have to have my own DRUG testing program in place, just to prove that I won't go out and wreck my equipment and kill some one in the way. This is just the tip of the compliance laws that I have to deal with, just to run a truck load of heating oil.

You have the balls to come up here and complain about photo ID just to vote.

instead of having a PHOTO ID required rule in order to vote, why not give notice in the local newspaper, on the internet, loudspeaker, that the whole population has to report to a detention center/concentration camp to accept the chip implantation, the chip when scanned will be your permanent ID from now on... (the chip I believe to be invented by Applied Digital Solutions Inc. ) ...this device would give full control of the population by the government authorities and should clear up the illegal immigrant problem too.when you show up to vote at polling center they will scan you to make sure you are in the "system" when you go to shop for groceries or clothes they scan you to withdraw money from your bank account... after 30 days have transpired since "chip implant day" state and federal gestapo squads are dispatched rounding up everybody without a chip...

this chip should help the IRS catch all the tax cheats too.. this implanted chip would give the authorities better control of illegal immigrants, create a cashless society to make sure we have no tax cheats.. also, no more drug dealers cause they have no cash to purchase drugs..

I just suggested if you want control of the population in matters such as voting, buying and selling, illegal immigrant control, then why not go a step further and instead of PHOTO ID required have a government controlled and sponsored implanted RF chip to monitor all your activities both legal and illegal..why are you opposed to this concept?.. you can't have your cake and eat it too.. no more cash at the cash register not reported to the IRS then?..or is it cause you neocons are always Christian and the mark of the beast is too extreme..

Photo ID should be required everywhere, as well as your registration to vote.

Anyone caught voting without the appropriately gained rights top do so should be publicly hanged.
