What do you mean by "sick"? I am NOT trying to screw anybody over. If you don't understand why I'm turning down certain suggestions, it's because of the type of person who's reccommending them or because the person didn't think everything through.

For example, obeythepenguin just said he doesn't use Ultimate-Guitar all that much anyway. If the person rarely uses the suggested site, that defeats the purpose of trying it. If the person suggesting the site doesn't play pop and soft rock covers, that also defeats the prupose. Age is also important.

The last thing I want to avoid is reaching people who are way too serious about playing music.

Not helping! All I'm looking for are buddy-buddy friends who I can individually get together with once in a while to play music with as well as do other activities with.

Experience is not all that important. However, music knowledge and having a passion for most of the artists i enjoy is important.

Whether I'm using a local forum, or a website where I create a profile, any guy who takes a professional approach to my request will be turned down, because I am trying to reach those guys who just play for enjoyment and who just want a friend to share their music tastes with, and do other activities.

Also unlike a lot of the people I encounter here, and on Baton Rouge Rocks, and Craigslist. I'm trying to find someone who only plays one or two instruments, rather than someone who plays a bunch of instruments.

From obeythepenguin: "I wouldn't recommend a site, then invite you to add me on there, if I was just screwing with you."

I am not going to add someone who is just going to be an internet friend. However, I would add someone who's in Baton Rouge, and who shows off good skills, and who has a good working knowledge of music theory and expresses his passion for a majority of the music I enjoy.

Yes, but a keyboard is different than a website. A bunch of extra features on a website can be overwhelming, ESPECIALLY if the company puts more focus on the sharing guitar tabs, or listing bands on their homepage, instead of it being a place where I can create PERSONAL profiles and make REAL friends on.

I need help finding something more like Batonrougerocks.com, but with a few extra forums added, and a much more extensive profile system. It also helps if the site has a lot more members on it who are willing to introduce themselves as a person and where people develope good quality friendships and are understanding and respectful of each other, compared to Baton Rouge Rocks, Craigslist, Bandmix, among other places mentioned.

What? How dare you say something like that. I have NO intention to use personal information for malicious intent.

I have stated that I'm trying to find a few good friends who love each other like brothers, this means being able to share phone numbers, or e-mail addresses so I can talk with a given person in private rather than having to use the forum all the time to talk.

And also this personal information can simply refer to music he likes, where in Baton Rouge he lives, what kind of job he has, amd schedule, that way, I'll know if he will work out well. And even if he doesn't this way, I can STILL remain friends with him, and possibly see if I can use him to NETWORK with through Facebook.

Where is the approve post feature when you need it to prevent nosy people, trolls and jokesters from posting their crap in a given topic?

This topic wouldn't be 8 pages long if all of the old people wouldv'e just ignored my posts and let the more intelligent and more conservative members respond to my topic.

And also it wouldv'e been a lot more helpful if the people responding were individuals around my age who play pop and soft rock music for enjoyment rather than seasoned musicians or washed up musicians.
