I saw where Adam was singing with Queen on some European dates, he does a pretty good job with them.

If I knew how to do that, I wouldv'e done that already. I don't have the tools to do that.

You don't even realize it, but you're whining again!

Don't look at it as whining. Read it as an effective complaint/rant and try to see things from my perspective. Realize that I'm tired of dealing with people and want to talk to more individuals like myself, who truly help.

Cliff if you have a computor then you have the means to lay down some keyboard parts, my daughter does this all the time. Im not sure what she uses, but she just hooks it up to her laptop and records all sorts of things.

Then you just convert it to a MP3 format and you can put it on here, for all of us to listen too. If you want to interact with musicians you need to be able to show them what you are doing, here or where ever you go.

I don't want to use MIDI. Last time I tried that the tracks came out terrible. All I have to use right now is Windows Sound Recorder, and the built in microphone on my laptop picks up background noise and is not the best quality.

Also on top of that, I don't have a good website to showcase those songs while still reaching those in Baton Rouge who play music for enjoyment, express their passion for good pop and soft rock music, and those who may have a good amount of general friends, but don't have any buddies to play music with.

When I put music up in the past (on Myspace), along with using Baton Rouge Rocks and Craigslist, and even printed versions of my ad, my request reached mostly individuals who were already committed to other music projects or had music related jobs, or individuals who were beginners and thus who I would have to teach all of the basics to.

I'm trying to reach guys who fall somewhere in the middle. And as I've noted in previous posts, I already have a good idea of WHAT I need to do, but need to know WHERE and HOW to do it effectively.

You don't need a dating site, you've found your pals right here. Nice job!

Try Audacity -- it's a free download. That will let you record longer than Windows Sound Recorder, and it includes a noise removal option, among many other features. To give you an idea of the sound quality, I recorded all the tracks on my profile with Audacity and a cheap PC microphone like this one.

Doing recordings means NOTHING if I don't have a good website to post it on. If ALL I'm going to reach on the given site are professionals or semi-professionals, that defeats the purpose, because I would like to create personal profiles, where I can just share my music with others who play more of the music I enjoy. Heck, as you can see through past experiences, when used Myspace, Baton Rouge Rocks and Craigslist as tools to get my music out there, it reached those musicians who just picked up their instrument and thus who didn't know any of the songs I can already play, or those who already had tons of experience playing in bands and who bad-mouthed the music I enjoy and were ONLY interested in playing music with me.

This was when I had MIDI, and a different keyboard (less professional sounding than the Casio Wk-500) and had an acquaintence from BRR convert those MIDI files into MP3 so I could post it on Myspace. It turned out to be a disaster because the songs I recorded were still works in progress, and the people viewing the files were hearing the conversion MIDI not my keyboard.

Doing recordings is the least of my problems right now, but one thing I don't understand is WHY does everybody I speak to think Audacity is the answer to my problem when I don't have a clue as to what adapters I need, and whether or not the program will work on my computer considering that I have a Windows 7 and an HP while a lot of other people I speak to use a Mac, and the keyboard I have is a Casio WK-500, and everybody else I speak to on most other music message boards plays guitar.

" Post your stuff on here, see if you get any responses. Maybe also upload it to SoundCloud and a few other sites (Fisherman Bob suggested you try www.fireflie.com). Basically try everywhere you can. Even if you don't find someone local right away, at least you're getting your stuff out there, which is a good start."

Again, the main thing to focus on is the type of site I'm using. The sites currently reccommended are for business type musicians and those ready to get out and gig.

I need to use sites that are entirely free (paid for with ads) with much smarter and wiser individuals.

Etu, I know you couldv'e handeld that a lot better without being ugly. It's people like Etu, who I keep having to stand up to, whether they are whining about me complaining, posting jokes at another's expense, hating on my music, lying, reccommending bad quality places and programs and trying to pass them off as free sites, among many other things.

The same thing happened on Baton Rouge Rocks and Craigslist. I ran into a few people who claimed they could help, but which turned into a disaster after I found out that most of them were using me for their own sick twisted purposes.

SHUT UP! They aren't going to have that problem with you because you and the others on this board are career musicians who are already set. And aside from that, a lot of the people you are asking are ALSO trolls who love to pick on someone else.

All I need is a little feedback on how to more effectively reach guys in Baton Rouge who simply play pop and soft rock music for enjoyment and are NOT part of the Baton Rouge music scene.

I am sick of asking for help and CONSTANTLY reaching individuals who are highly experienced touring, and gigging musicians.

Wrong, I am a retired musician and used to be a member of the Temple of Set.
I am now into "bio-feedback"
