Hey, easy dude. The advice is sound, but at the same time, you are thinking from a purely professional standpoint, and not from a close friendship standpoint. Thanks for the advice you did offer, and good luck to you with your endeavors.

Isn't there anyone on here who plays music strictly for enjoyment, and is NOT a gigging/touring musician and thus has a few good friends he plays with once a week with at a friend's house and does other activities with and thus can more easily relate to what I'm looking for and from there point me in the right direction.

Guys, let's keep this topic free of rude comments, jokes and trollish posts. I'm trying to reach individuals who are more intelligent, and conservative posters. Those who don't use this forum (or any message board) to post for attention.

This isn't an act or a schtik! I am NOT like you guys who come here to use this forum to joke around, and cause trouble. I am trying to reach individuals who are much more intelligent and are able to relate to what I'm looking for and can thus much more easily point me in the right direction, and who are willing to back up their reccommendations and advice with some experience, provided it's coming from someone who plays music PURELY for enjoyment and is NOT a touring/gigging musician. I have OTHER interests besides playing music, and I want to do activities that center around those interests as well.

I am sorry for those who have a problem with me "repeating" the same stuff over and over.

Asperger syndrome (AS), also known as Asperger's syndrome or Asperger disorder, is an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) that is characterized by significant difficulties in social interaction, alongside restricted and repetitive patterns of behavior and interests. It differs from other autism spectrum disorders by its relative preservation of linguistic and cognitive development.

That's NOT CUTE! STOP making rude observations about someone you don't even know! I did NOT come back to this site to start all of this nonsense all over again. If something I said offended you or is bothering you, or if you are confused about something, TALK to me about it. I'm a reasonable guy and am very intelligent.

And just because I act a certain way online, doesn't mean I have difficulties in social interaction or have a mental disorder. It's ALL a product of the type of people who are responding to my post.

For example, if there were a lot more college students in Baton Rouge who like more of the music I enjoy responding to this topic, you guys might actually see progress instead of all the other stuff.

No, YOU are pathetic, for calling me names, and making all of these rude assumptions about me. My complaints are aimed at those who are able to relate and therefore NOT get all bent out of shape like you!

Actually I posted my thoughts in another post.. I mentioned (OCPD) and two other conditions I wasn't gonna touch...But the Asberger's was one of those two...I once knew a guy with ASD an the thing was his anti-socialness was not obstinate in nature...rather ,he was highly reserved and wasn't one to laugh alot or express himself a lot. I called him the truth- teller cause if you asked him what thought about a song or something...he'd tell you exactly what he thought (Not pretty) and spared no parts

Come on, let's get back to the original intent of this topic, and let me see the intended audience which are individuals who are more willing to back up their reccommendation with experience, provided of course, they like a lot more of the same music and are themselves simply looking for friends. I am NOT giving up.

This topic started off on the right track, I just needed to reach someone who could direct me to some good Open Mics in my area where the music I enjoy is much more popular or some more appropriate message boards where individuals are more respectful of each other and are not so quick to judge.

I am sorry if some of you guys are annoyed and express that annoyance by insulting me or talking amongst your friends to make yourself feel better.
