that's interesting but, sound is kinetic energy transferred though some sort of media to a receiver.
lots fun for fantasy books but not much use as a real concept, too many holes in that theory.
Yeah, you're right, the white bearded guy in the sky theory is much better, less fantastic and so much more Holey . . .

Sound is the product of vibration, I suppose I should have used the word vibration instead for it is that which I am talking about.

Everything in the objective universe is vibration, everything created in our objective universe is the result of vibration.

well the divine creator is not a theory per-say, it is a faith, not quite the same.
vibration is a property of energetic atomic particles but hardly the only property,
be that as it may,
like sound it is evidence of energy transfer, but not of energy creation.
Ah yes . . . FAITH!

"Faith is believing in that which I know ain't so." - Mark Twain
"Faith: not wanting to know what is true." - Friedrich Nietzsche

well you have problem with faith,
but it won't solve your problem with a vibration theory.
so i suppose you have 2 problems.

This sounds like the same religion that Eric Johnson was telling me about in the late 70s.

Yes, of course EVERYTHING comes from sound!?

God said "Let there be light, and there was light". He spoke everything into existence during creation, so you have swerved into a very biblical idea and we are in agreement on that point.

String Theory contends that vibration manifests the physical universe and its ordered state. However, It is also responsible for causing disordered states. If this is true, then what remains is determining if ordered vs un ordered is a good or a bad thing. If its good, then what conspiratorial force(s) are behind it? (We like to call that God?) If its bad, same question...( Call it Satin?) . One thing for certain, randomness implies no meaning...until we assign it one... A storm speaks less of an ordered phenonomon, and more to absence of one....Unless of course, you have designed a storm, in which case, it is now an ordered one.

The words translated as faith from the original hebrew in the Bible means "strong trust".

I have "faith" that my van will be able to make it to the next city today only because it has brought me a quarter million miles already and is in good working condition. But it has let me down before so my faith in that van is limited.

I also have "strong trust" in the Word of God because it has brought me much further and has never failed even once. My faith in Him is unlimited. Though I don't understand how it works, I know that by trusting His expressed will, I will have His favor in whatever I do.

You have faith in your ability to find reason in things that others would assign to the concept of an immortal being involved in the affairs of this planet. You have faith in the tangible, and anything outside of that realm has an explanation through the many gods of your religion.

It is obvious to me that you are much more intelligent than most people you would discuss this with, and are a "spiritual bully" of sorts, as you demand proof that can be measured, but YHVH simply won't fit in a test tube.

He is hidden in plain sight, daring us to open our eyes. Some will overcome the world, but it's easier to look away, than it is to die to one's self.

God said "Let there be light, and there was light". He spoke everything into existence during creation, so you have swerved into a very biblical idea and we are in agreement on that point.

Called the Word in the Judeo-Christian Bible, Hindu Scriptures call it Naad and Shruti, Persian scriptures Sraosha, Kalma in Muslim scriptures, ‘the Sonorous Light' in Buddhism, Naam or Shabd by the Sikhs, in Patanjali Yoga Darshan, the God/dess Ishwara is a Being expressed by this original vibration (Pranav) and Madam Helen Blavatsky and the Theosophists call it ‘the Voice of Silence'.

The most popular word for this is OM, and through the influx of vibration all things in the physical Universe were created through sacred geometry such as the Fibonacci sequence, the Golden Mean.

. . . at least that's what 'My' bible tells me!

- from my 'nevergonnabefinished' book Tarkhem

So, is there an opposite of this ordered sound? And if so, what could it be? Why would it be?

There is and it is called The Harmonic Undertone Series
Our ear is said to be ‘naturally wired' to hear the Overtone Series, anything else is heard as ‘unnatural'. This brings me to what theorists call The Undertone Series.

The Undertone Series is a series of notes that result from inverting the intervals of the overtone series. The undertone series is a series of notes that results from inverting the intervals of the overtone series. The undertone series does not sound simultaneously with its fundamental tone, as the overtone series does. It is, rather, opposite in every way. There is no undertone series in the physical world.

In Graham H. Jackson’s 2006 book ‘The Spiritual Basis of Musical Harmony' he states that the over/under tone series' represent on the one hand the outer, material world, and on the other hand, our subjective, inner world. The overtone series can be explained by materialistic science but the undertone series is only achieved by our subjective experience.

"spiritual bully"!! Hey now!!
 I'm really not such an evil person, but it is true, I react to religious faith as any good Adversary would.

I didn't want to imply that you are a "mean" person, just saying that it ain't a fair fight usually. Many christians have a simple faith that they can't explain, and they probably haven't investigated the history of how we got to this day.

On the other hand, you can do so convincingly...

:D

Given the gradients of tone, which lie in between notes (and discerned through western and eastern filters , respectively... Perhaps 'series" is an inaccurate phrase.

What if...that undertone was "the" meta note of all things 'vibration'. What if that is the "Alpha and the Omega", spoken of? What if...The physical universe, is in the excruciating time-taking process of aligning itself with this undertone... And Finally, what if Musicians, are the Endowed Agents of the Meta Note.. (Coming out in CD soon, at a player near you )

I jest in whimsical joy...Nay!...I celebrate the thought...

Does anyone watch "Through The Wormhole With Morgan Freeman"? This week the theme was "Is The Universe Alive?", i.e. is the cosmos one big organism. The bottom line is, it depends on how you define "alive".

and Dylan you are almost stating, that lead guitar is more important than anything else about the band? really dude? lead guitar should be the least of the concerns in a band ..would be far more important in a power rock band, such as the "group" that we played in very briefly together, to have a solid BASSIST and kickass DRUMMER! without these 2 key components you have no foundation whatsoever, at least for that type of music in that genre of classic rock, pop rock, what have you..

seriously. 4-8 bars of soloing does not a song make! Besides, only musicians appreciate a good solo - your average audience is just looking for something to groove to ~
