Birth control pills too. No wonder I've never gotten pregnant.

I know the drug companies have vehemently denied it, but I believe with almost 100% certainty that vaccines cause autism. There's a massive cover-up of the truth. A class action lawsuit would virtually put the drug companies out of business.

I'm going through this right now, Bob.
At the end of august my little guy gets his defacto super diagnosis... Autism, or just delayed, or... something else.

I fought his mom and the Doctors on the MMR shot, but, they claim they don't even have the individual vacines seperated to use anymore.

It could be anything though -- from anti depressants and such that she was taking while pregnant, to him getting choked by the cord as he tried to drop down, to vacines, to... who knows...

He's plenty smart, but he will NOT talk.
Well, he talks plenty in his own language but he wont say english words.
He will be 3 in July and he only says: 'more', 'uh oh', 'owy', 'mama', and sometimes 'go'.

And it's just me now - plus help from grandma and granpa.
She's gone, and f**k her...

That really sucks Zip. I never knew you were carrying a million ton freight wreck on your back.

You have friends here and God we wish you the best. I know you have some broad shoulders, but thats a lot. I think every one will keep your boy in our thoughts, and sometimes a little positive energy can go a long way.

A little story about when I was a boy, one of the kids only spoke one word, It was "OINK". (Like a pig) That was up until he was almost 5. No joke. I think he's a doctor today, from the last I heard.

Best Zip and keep playing. G.

To date, Vaccines as a cause are debatable...There just isn't any hard evidence to support the claims. Yet...at the same time, there's so many apparent correlations that it's almost impossible to dismiss...

I got the MMR shots and didn't acquire Autism... SOmebody else gets the shots and they get the autism...

IMHO I do think we should be looking more to Pre natal term...(I.e Tetragens and other poisons, Lack of nutrition, There is an increase of Autism these days, and coincidentally , for the last 50 years, there has been wider-spread smoking, alcoholism and drug consumption , Processed foods (worse than ever)
Even then it seems hard to pin point a cause

All speculation ... "science" for the most part is a joke. All to often it is driven by someones agenda.

Thank you Bob, I may call you in the coming months - for now it is still 'unknown' as to what the issues might be.

At first I suspected it might be his ears that was slowing his speech development, however...
He's had two hearing screenings recently - the first one, he wasnt paying attention to the lower decibels.
BUT, the second one, was a sedated brain scan to see if his brain responded 'normally' to sounds and decibel levels -- Came back as NORMAL.
His hearing is fine.

Thank you Glen, but ya know... I was sitting here earlier at work and this thought and feeling washed over me - In a weird way, for right now in our lives, it's kind of a blessing -- yes, he's getting bigger, and faster, and more mobile, and being able to communicate is become a more important matter - but at the same time, he's still got a lot of baby in him.
Theres that pure and innocent love and connection, and the bond we have.
It's simple, pure, and real.

I love him.

Might seem a weird kind of opinion to have to some folks...

...gtZip ... You are an admirable person. You are an example to us all and embody the highest ideals of humanity ... so I would imagine that at this moment in time you do indeed appear weird to many. I am impressed by your decision to share your personal situation here within the bounds of the Forum and as you no doubt see, you have strong support among those here. This is as it should be.

My Wife teaches English at a Private School { a bilingual one} here to 1st and 2nd graders. There are a few Americans attending as well. She has been doing this for 5 years now and taught her first year in preschool.

She has noticed an alarming increase amongst here students of not only autism but other disorders as well ... much more prevelant than they should be. Vichy Mexico's President Calderon has in addition to his idiotic "War on Drugs" also initiated an educational policy of "No Child Left Behind"

At first glance this may seem like a grand idea but in reality what it does is to simply stick all children of the same age groups into the same class. This translates into a type of madness that goes far beyond the class jokster sitting in the back making farting noises and disrupting the class ... it holds back those children with no learning disabilities by impeding their progress and frustrates those with learning disabilities.

Needless to say this results in a general "dumbing down" of the majority and this is countered simply by lowering the standards each year. The schools both public and private here are not equipped to handle this and it puts great strain on the Teachers as well/ Each year it has become more difficult for my Wife and requires more extra unpaid hours and a multitude of growing problems.

My Wife... Amanda insists that the other children help and look after those with problems and generally this results in the worthwhile result of making the children who help more sympathetic and considerate and those that are helped less ostracised . The Parents are the biggest problem with all of the children however. Getting them to help their child do homework, come to parent/teacher meetings and to do something about addressing their children's problems is a big issue.

Amanda has some reading in English before they are doing so in Spanish. She uses Phonics and modifies it and sneaks it in the curriculum in order to get the best results and meet the requirements. She has made excellent progress in every case of autism and such because she and the other children make the extra effort .

The progress is slow but steady and very worthwhile and fulfilling for her. She makes special learning cards, aids etc. for those with problems and has learned much herself about this growing problem ... which is worldwide and epidemic now.

The human mind, body and spirit is exceptional and those of a child are even more so. It is important to stimulate them now rather than later as then most often it becomes impossible to get the same results. You have no doubt many challenges ahead and your Love and Devotion is well matched with your capabilities it seems.

Please feel free to ask any "wonder" questions you may have at any time ... Amanda will be most pleased to help in any way she can and does have frontline experience { like others here}. I agree with Glenn .... it is amazing that you have done and do all that you do under the circumstances ... I Salute you. Ta

Best of luck to you Zip, that's quite a load to carry.

I'm with Bob here, from what I've seen so far, mercury in vaccines is looking pretty good as the culprit. If you think about it, it makes sense. What does mercury do? Causes brain damage primarily, among other nasties. What is Autism? Brain damage. I think ADD and ADHD are related too. Very possibly also Alzheimers (SP?) All brain disfunctions. Mercury causes brain damage. Coincidence??? I don't think so.

I won't go any further, but I had a friend in the 80's who's son was 5 and autistic. Sad to see, a little kid 5 or 6 years old with a mind of maybe 2, he recognized me, loved to sit in my lap at times, but it was really rough on the parents trying to deal with it. His father was one of the best bass players in south Louisiana at the time. Wish I could find them, I'd love to see how they are getting along these days but he and his family suddenly moved away and I never knew about it, never found them again.

Pete, not to dispute your assertion about the mercury (and I tend to agree actually) , but there are more people who got the booster shots with (potential mercury) in the 50's and 60's who did not show evidence of brain dysfunctions I.e Autism, etc. than those who received the vacs in 70/80 /90s.
Maybe its a vacc in conjunction with a nutritional deficiciency..In the mothers? (I'm speculating) ..
