Do you want to be on heroin and try to perform a Paganini Caprice? Probably not. How about getting stoned before improvising on a Raga? Perhaps.

Altered States of Consciousness including drug induced trance has gone hand in hand with spiritual/ritual music since the Sumerians and Assyrians. This type of music promotes trance induction and is only part of the ceremony.

Some drugs work better than others.

I am trying to achieve this...with diet Pepsi and Chile-Cheese Fritos (AKA Spicy Carbonated induced) :)

Excitatory trance can be achieved by sensory overload, such as devouring a food that you love!

Can we expect a SCIT (Spicy Carbonated Induced Trance) Composition soon?

Or you can have someone lash your back with a cane while you're trying to compose

I've always had a high tolerance level with drugs.

Did I get beat up pretty bad by the Dog?
I didn't read.

Dane when you acted the ass a few years ago,
you scared my old lady, she thought you were stalking
me. I bought her a 32, I laughed?

I'm not hiding live in the same house since I was a kid.

Weed is lead guitar juice.

Watch Gimme Shelter Keith's playing that rhythm line
to Sympathy for the Devil and you can see he's polluted,
Mick has to go over and make him stop playing, he was
rocking.

I auditioned in Branson last Friday for a group playing rock
in the bars. They agreed that when it came time to perform
the greats performed no matter how messed up.

Are band backed Johnny Paycheck up one night in the 70s,
Johnny traveled from town to town in his car and played gigs
set up by his agent all over the world, they hired the house band
to back him. Johnny pulled in close to showtime went over the
songlist while he downed a 5th and barely walked out on the stage,
and set on a stool 1/2 the night, but he performed and sang like
a pro, he was pro.

How do you not ignore somebody, sounds like I'm missing
some good stuff.

Dane live well

Problem is - many if not most bands are always in transition since players come and go, get fired etc. This means the show or sets, depending upon the bad, are never quite tight. Dangerous to get high and have to fake your way through a tune you barely know.

I did work in one outfit though that was so discilipined we knew our show backwards and forwards. For rehearsals we might learn new songs (some times) then go through the whole show, ironing out any rough edges.

After that, we'd get a bit whacked and play it again, just for grins.

Recordings (including both rehearsals and live gigs) showed that it is probably better to play sober if you want to play good. But if you are going to high - know that material!

that's your problem Dylan, you should listen to your gut and not somebody trying to put false thoughts in your head about me being something I'm not pal, and for sure, I don't even know what incident you are talking about? I've never even seen you with a woman

one thing before I go Dylan, I can't private message you because I'm not a premier member at BM, but just wanted you to know, I am not your adversary, I harbor no ill-will towards you at all, if I was over enthusiastic at one time a few years ago, then I apologize, (but still can't figure the stalker thing out), I really don't know what I did to offend you, but if I did offend, it was not intentional, and I always have enjoyed your company at past events,..now Dangerous Dan seems to be a regular event goer who is cool to chat with at events, ... he and the "doctor" just got back from Viet Nam and he was telling me about a cool egress item from a cockpit of a jet aircraft that had probably been shot down/or scrapped, he acquired there..

Dane you don't know me, and your
such a liar, about bs. You flatter me
that you think you have to lie to me,
to impress me, or what.

Do you like me or something, you've never been
with a woman. Nobody will miss you when your
gone Dane, that's why you live sad and alone now,
you could still change this, but you won't.

Your like Paperdog who thinks the mob is going to come
get me for something I said on this forum. To me it just shows
that dog has no comprehension of just how large of drug
distribution network is out there, he flatters me to think I'm
of concern to them.

Dane live well, forget me, and quit following everything I do,
have an original thought of your own for once. You certainly act
like a big man on the forum, but at these "events" you speak of,
the general consensus I get is that your a weirdo, (that's what my
old lady thinks also, when you came to the house I was building
ino apts to score your bag, she was upstairs with a rifle, watching you),
and a narc. You got no connections cause nobody trust's you,
just the small timer s who rip you off, but your use to that,

I'm unbound

nobody likes you Dylan, most people don't want you around cause you are mentally unbalanced , no band will ever work with you cause you can't play worth a damn.. your music sucks, and you think everybody loves you, but they are only looking for stuff to sneak it away from you.. don't ever mention me again, or I'll fix the wrongs you have caused against me..
