can life be that bad as to take your own life? well, the news clip I read did say Mr. Welch was having health issues, but sad nonetheless..
The other members of Fleetwood Mac ignored him when they were inducted into the R&RHof - didn't invite him. Spinal surgery a couple of years ago must have left him in pain/disabled.
