Just some places That I think would suit you better Then a website Full of real musician
Sounds like you're trying to find a husband to be
Not looking for a boyfriend! Get that through your head. I am looking for someone who plays keyboard or guitar, but is NOT an eager professional working musician to just hang out with and have a good time working on some pop and soft rock songs together as well as doing what other college students do together.
And by the way, Plenty Of Fish is horrible. There's too much on that site. And the help system sucks. Plus, they want you to fill out an essay covering a bunch of physical attributes that are NOT important to me in people. Looking handsome IS a plus, but what matters is what's on the inside and his interests and hobbies.
Match.com is like Plenty of Fish, but with one catch: you can sign up for free, but in order to use any of the features you have to pay. And they also want you to fill out a form covering a bunch of physical attributes which a picture could show.
I got a bunch of spam from Tagged recently, so I'm not really feeling that site.
One of my first places to look for these musicians and friends was Myspace, and that became a dud once they relegated the Classifieds section to an app, and changed the whole look and feel. In fact, I think a lot of people switched to Facebook after awhile.
And well, as noted in previous posts, Craigslist is for WORKING and gigging musicians, and of course, I wouldn't even reccommend that site to people who are looking for love. There is nothing but trash within the personals section, at least that's how it is in the city of Baton Rouge.
And of course, a lot of those personals sites don't give you the option to set who should see your profile. In my case, I would want my profile to be seen ONLY by individuals in their 20s who live in Baton Rouge, and are NOT looking for a boyfriend and of course, play guitar or keyboard well, have a good solid understanding of music theory, and have a passion for a variety of pop and soft rock music spanning the 70s and/or 80s to the present.
I do appreciate what you did offer.
