LMFAO

Not the ones who play pop and soft rock music and are at the intermediate level and are not your active performers. In other words, someone who just happens to play music but is NOT currently part of the music community in my area.
Move then . . . if I wanted to play Stambeli music I would move to Tunisia instead of trying to find those musicians in NJ.

That's actually quite a ridiculous reason to move, and not an option at the moment due to many other facotrs, like the fact that I cannot drive, and having to start ALL the way over.

I need to keep the search local. I just need some insight on where the music I enjoy playing is more popular.

Also if I could reach some guys from neighboring cities who are moving to Baton Rouge who are around my age, that would be helpful.

Also if there was a competition similar to American Idol going on, I'd consider trying out for that. That way, the move would be temporary, and I could always go back home.

I was mistaken...Not a whack job here... More like a juvenile... and I'm thinking a liar... Doesn't BM have a policy about minors on the cite? (Or am I just too brain-washed from the bar life in my younger days?)

I'm 28 years old and I am a guy who is truthful especially on the internet. I am NOT the kind of guy who goes online to pretend to be someone he's not. If something seems fishy or foreign to you, point it out in a nicer way, instead of using the approach you are currently using.

I hate to break it to ya but being a musician means traveling, means having transportation, you can't really expect to sit there and have the world come to you do you?

And 28? Come on . . . you can't even become famous and die at 27 now!!

These guys are going to have to come to me because I CANNOT drive due to the fact that I'm legally blind. Do NOT confuse that term with being completely blind. These guys are going to have to provide the transprotation.

Second, you're definition of a musician is small minded. You can still be a musician and NOT be a traveling musician. And also being a musician doesn't have to be an actual occupation. I'm trying to reach musicians in my area who are simply taking a few easy classes at a local college or who work at part time and who just happen to play keyboard or guitar and like a wide variety of pop and soft rock music and who are just looking for a good friend to hang out with and learn some new skills with, and do other leisure activities with. This was also supposed to be a daytime activity as well done with loving friends.

The people on Baton Rouge Rocks were just as small minded in their view of what a musician was as well.

"And 28? Come on . . . you can't even become famous and die at 27 now!!"

But I could become famous and support various charities for people who are blind, or raise awareness to people with everyday psychological disorders like ADHD, Asperger's, Tourette's and others. But I'm not in a hurry to do all of that. I want to first find some buddies to work on some pop and soft rock songs with for fun, and just see where that goes.

What the heck are you talking about, Mike? Stop making things even more confusing for me and more frustrating. Why do people have to be so brutual over the internet? What happened to being courteous to one another and taking time to actually understand the person you are talking to? What happened to posting with love?

I've been in over my head ever since I started this search back in 2007 when I attended Baton Rouge Community College. And the people who have responded have never took the time to become friends first and then see if we share the same music goals and stuff. The people who were interested I had to let go because they had too much experience playing in other bands already and were too career oriented. I need to reach musicians who are between casual playing and career minded.

I think I understand now. Do you have Asberger's? (I don't intend to be mean when I ask this) The signs are there... Fixated on certain quests/things... Probably excel in certain skills... The conflict in personality is a big one... I know others with this condition an they typically are not good at social protocols, which can explain the discourse you are recieving (and issuing) (Not blaming you...but its a tell tale sign) ./ Either this or OCD.

Never been diagnosd with Asperger's or Tourette's, but I have been diagnosed with ADHD and later OCD. But I don't think that has ANYTHING to do with my current situation where i can't find any decent guys to become friends with and work on some pop and soft rock music together.

Sorry if the OCD IS showing up on this forum though in the form of me being persistent.

One cannot hide such a condition, It really exposes itself openly...even though its not intentional...
You've been searching for this type of person for 6, maybe 7 years? and the specifications are actually unreachable, hence the perpetual goal of pursuit. (Aka obsession)

Persistence recognizes when its time to quit. OCD does not, and that's the difference here.

I would ask that perhaps you might consider the following:
1) Accept that the type of person you are seeking, just simply does not exist.
2) End your pursuit for such a person...(You may actually find and enjoy a sense of relief, long overdue)
3) Write and compose some music about this journey's end. Its acreative way to close out a chapter and begin a new one...
