Why are you guys STILL responding? Let me see a diffreent group of people respond. The guys who are currently responding are just trying to yank my chain and it's NOT helping me move forward. And due to the way I react to your posts, it's giving other readers the wrong impression.

STOP buying into the hype and worrying so much about who's real and who isn't. And stop throwing around so many acusing people of somethign you know nothing about. Try to see that person's heart instead of focusing on superficial qualities. I'm not Scott or Glenn or anybody else but a 28 year old guy named Clifford.

What "questions" are you talking about? You never asked anything. And no, I don't record. And that's because I don't have the tools to do so.

Also realize that my conversations wouldn't be one way if the people responding would realize that I'm stuck and am in a little over my head, and would view my rants as effective complaining rather than whining.

And just so you know, I am NOT one of these sharks you speak of. I am a laid back guy myself. In fact, my account here is temporary. I only plan to stay here until I can reach someone who can help me find a much more promising place in my area where I can start my music buddy search fresh.

You people deal with missunderstandings all the wrong ways. For once, I would like to see more people be honest about their own issues and be a lot nicer when there is a misscommuncation going on. And I would like to see more people take each other seriously on the internet instead of trying to find a reason to joke around and cause trouble. Acusing another person of something, and picking on someone who is different and insulting someone NEVER makes anything better.

Do you remember the TV show "Queer Eye For the Straight Guy?" Well I'm going to start a Bandmix forum show called "Straight Eye For the Queer Guy." No, I'm not being antagonistic. No I'm NOT making fun of you. Your musical "search" is a little queer. That's not a sexual connotation. You're smply going about your search in an extremely narrow-minded fashion. The "Straight Eye" (me) says BROADEN YOUR HORIZONS. Go to venues that feature the kind of music you prefer. Go to karaoke bars and listen for really good singers who like to sing the kind of music you prefer. No matter what age, or gender, or sexual orientation that person may be,if they are performing the music you like IN ANY CAPACITY please strike up a conversation with them mano a mano, or queero a queero. You CANNOT and WILL NOT find the exact kind of person you are looking for in a vacuum, YOUR MIND. I have been performing in bands for more years that I can't even remember all the people I've gigged with. I can't remember some of their names. And some of them frankly I didn't exactly get along with on a personal level, but SO WHAT, I have gigged and made some pretty damn good music at times. If somebody's NOT the exact age you desire, NOT your buddy, doesn't have your sexual orientation, BUT you make pretty damn good music together, WHAT MORE CAN YOU ASK FOR? You want some sort of perfect idealized situation that is NOT LIKELY to happen on Planet Earth. Boo Hoo.

No I don't remember the show "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy". In fact, I haven't really been watching a lot of TV lately and I'm not a huge movie buff either.

Really get this through your head. I would be doing that, but I don't know what those places are or even if they exist in my area, thus I need to speak with guys in the Baton Rouge area. When will people like you take that hint?

Also keep in mind that I'm not looking for work or gigs like you are. I'm just looking for some GUY friends to work on some great pop and soft rock songs with and to learn some new skills, like the music aspects of songwriting.


It's important that I keep the age group to guys in their 20s and early 30s as well.

It's also important to note that due to the fact that I'm legally blind, I cannot go wherever I feel like whenever I want, and I also feel more comfortable going out during the daytime hours.

Realize that I'm not looking for exact. And realize that the guy I'm looking for can be of ANY orientation. And again, I'm looking for someone who is in his 20s or 30s, that way I can relate better on a personal level, and he and I can become good friends.

As I said, I'm not interested in being a part of the music scene in Baton Rouge or becoming famous yet. This project is about pure friendship, whether we make it big or not. I'm trying to find guys who are NOT in a rush to get out and perform.

Also realize that the artists I'm into are NOT very popular amongst most guys in their 20s who actively play music in the Baton Rouge area. These artists include Adam Lambert, David Archuleta, Kris Allen, Kelly Clarkson, Richard Marx, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, and such. Most guys in Baton Rouge want to play heavy metal, hard rock, classic rock, and weird indie rock.

Again, as I have stated, I need to talk with other guys on this board in the Baton Rouge area who like more of the music I enjoy and who can help me learn about some new music stores to try and some new venues and who I can become good friends with who would be glad to take check out the suggested place(s) with me.

The IGNORE feature sucks. You can STILL click to view the post in question and you can STILL see when that person posts. Why didn't the site creators create a TRUE ignore function where it also prevented you from EVER seeing the person you are ignroing ever again?


Also you are being EXTREMELY hateful and judgemental about me. Why couldn't you have just taken the hint when I told you and others on here that I need to speak to other guys around my age in the Baton Rouge area so I can learn about what else is out there that I haven't tried and learn from there experiences and see if they've had similar success in what I'm trying to pursue, instead of talking to people OUTSIDE of my city who are TOO quick to respond and don't use good wisdom and have to put down someone just to make themselves feel more supieror?

I encountered the same type of crap on Baton Rouge Rocks, the first board I tried, and I don't need it from you guys.

NONE of this craziness wouldn't have happened if you guys had used common sense and thought about what type of person I need to recieve help from, rather than just throwing something out there on a whim.

I need to get down to specifics, but there aren't ANY other music message boards out there in my area besides Baton Rouge Rocks, and that place is crap.

You wanted me to listen to your advice? Why didn't you guys do the same for me, when I told you what kind of person would be most likely able to help me with what I needed help with.
