Have to give you credit for persistence - and for providing some good laughs on this thread, too (ok, most are AT your expense).

Use this persistence locally. You're posting on an international forum and I doubt there is one other person ON THIS FORUM from Baton Rouge, so if you only want specific help for your city, then you might as well move on instead of listening (which is different than hearing, as Jazz pointed out) to the advice that has been given.

Editing to add (after reading all the posts on this and the other thread):

Stop your frickin' whining about Baton Rouge and the replies from others here. There's 200,000 people there by all accounts, and probably double that number in the outlying area. Half the other BR gay guys are probably sitting at home whining the same thing, while the other half are out at the dance clubs enjoying themselves, making friends etc.

You know, I gave him grief and he didn't cry.
He remains adamant and coherent (as far as i know).
You know, I am starting to like this guy a little.
Good to see you struggle like the rest of us, Clambert.

No one really cares what music you like, only that you aspire to play it and make it yours.

We'll keep an eye out for you. We don't see that many people from down your way except for Lynard and Dane, but who knows.

We'll sure try to help you if we can..way to stay together under duress.

NONE of you guys had the right tools to help and I stated this VERY early on, but I needed to talk to guys in Baton Rouge, Louisiana who were around my age and who like playing a wide variety of pop and soft rock music, and talk about their experiences and learn about new music stores and music venues to try.

OK Ok... Lets try this one more time. ... I think I know the perfect person for you to talk to. Her name is Lynard Dylan... Right here on BM.
Here's the link: http://www.bandmix.com/lynard-dylan/

Now the only caution I can share with you is that Ms Lynard is afflicted with Tourette's Syndrome..But if you can get past that... She'd probably know who to hook you up with some people that would love to chat about musical experiences... Its a start...and who knows... It may lead to something great..

She is NOT the appropriate person to contact, notice her age and the kind of music she plays, and on top of that, I cannot contact anyone on HERE because I have a free account. The ONLY way I'd be able to contact anyone is if they either posted here in the forums or contacted me first, or provided their e-mail address.

I also e-mailed this anonymous individual from one of the music schools MikeB suggested:

info@brguitarlessons.com

Here's what he/she said:

"Hey Clifford,
I enjoyed the video. Thanks! As for advance students, I don't have any students that I'm aware of that play keyboard at the moment, but I can keep an eye out if I do come across one."

I knew it would be a dud. I tried to tell you guys that I would be better off messaging a guy who teaches keyboard, not a guitar teacher.

It's also helpful to know what part of Baton Rouge a given place is in because I don't want to deal with a bunch of trashy individuals.

"Use this persistence locally. "

I have. Besides Baton Rouge Rocks, there aren't any other local music message boards in Baton Rouge. After years of persistence on that board, I learned that most of the people on that board were already busy playing in bands, and most were into heavy metal, hard rock, and classic rock music, not pop, electronic music and soft rock.

Sooo..Its the age that got you concerned...

MS Lynard is a young thinker,,,Some might say she's left her youth at the last bus stop and danged if she cant stop pranking with the whoopee cushions... Well, You should persist and try anyway... Maybe reach her by responding to any one of her gazillion posts... She's sensitive sort so you have to be gentle But I'm sure she'll open up... Last Time I checked , she mentioned something about a role she was auditioning for... A production called "The Good, The Bad and the Fabulous (Say that last bit with a high-up accent... )

Didn't you FULLY read EVERYTHING I stated there? She would NOT be able to help, not just because of her age, but because of the genres she plays.

And for the thousandth time, people like me with FREE accounts CANNOT contact another user unless that person contacts me first.

When will you (and other people like you) comprehend these hints I'm giving you, and STOP saying I'm whining or finding a reason to not do something.

Paperdog, notice that Lynard is NOT in Baton Rouge! And it says he's male? Why are you calling him a her?

"Lynard Dylan
53 years old, Male, Marionville, Missouri, 65705"

This is why it would be helpful to know who the trolls are on this board, so I'll know who to avoid.

Glambert you cry hard, son.

I hope you don't whine like this in public, else I know why you are not being utilized.

Reasonable keys players are in short supply.
