I find it hard that in a city of 200,000+ people, you can't find anybody to play basic 3 chord pop songs. And calling Madonna "controversial" makes no sense at all. The way you're moaning, I thought you were trying to play 12-tone free form jazz, or experimental noise or something. Adam Lambert is pretty basic.

Again, most GUYS in my age group in Baton Rouge are NOT into playing that stuff. It's going to be classic rock, heavy metal or experimental/indie music. And most people who wanted to jam with me in the past only had a casual interest in some of those artists.

And I really did comprehend the answers. But the people responding aren't comprehending me very well.

Yes. And on top of that, they didn't have enough passion for playing a wide variety that spans the 70s to the present. And when I turn them down as musicians, but try to see if I could use them as a network buddy to further that, but they would blow me off, or they didn't have any friends or acqaintences they could introduce me to.

Don't think of it as whining. Think of it as me RANTING about what's bothering me in hopes that I could reach someone with a much better attitude who could help me get back into this search and help me do things properly.

Hint: I need to reach more guys in their 20s in the Baton Rouge area who are into a wide variety of pop and soft rock music and have more serious discussions about what they've tried, and make a few good friends and see if he would be glad to take me to these places where I can check out the place with him.

Yeah, I imagine it's harder to find a bunch of "guys" to play with, if you constantly cry like a little girl.

(No offense to little girls browsing the forum...)

Then move on if that's what you think of me.

I'm dealing with trolls now. DAMNIT! Leave me alone! This isn't funny or cute and you know it!

Before both of us do any further damge, go back to what you were doing BEFORE I showed up.

Get a life, dude. You are pathetic. Find something more constructive to do on the internet.

It wouldv'e been nice to know how to more easily recognize trolls and other internet bullies and people who are way too easily offended or way too easily put off by some of the things I stated earlier on when people were suggesting general places for me to try.

That did NOT really help, because in order to deal with trolls, I need to recognize them. And that person did NOT need to post a picture. He couldv'e given me advice on how to deal with trolls AND other difficult people, and thus give the people I'm trying to reach a chance to respond.

People are people. Your killing yourself and your chances with assumptions.

Like
can't find people I need in a church ... sure you could.

OR

Baton Rouge is somehow different than Anycity USA ... it's not

OR

There is some magic technique to find you for whom you seek ... there is not.

This forum is full of threads and ideas of how where and when to look for musically compatible people. IE high school or college level musical department heads ETC
The simple truth is you will have to use your computer some and get off your computer a lot and actively seek where the musicians are.

Like the princess in the fairytale your going to have to kiss a sh*t load of toads before you find your prince.

Man, STOP being a jerk about this whole thing. Realize that churches are NOT appropriate for the artists I'm into, and STOP saying that I'm looking for something "magical". I got enough of that from people on Baton Rouge Rocks. I'm into styles of music that isn't very popular amongst most musicians in Baton Rouge.

I was tying to help you .... you apparently don't understand human nature so I'll just allow you to revel in your stupidity.

Bye now ...

'm sorry I gave you guys the impression that I'm this anti-social guy who doesn't understand a thing about people and whatnot. NONE of you guys had the right tools to help and I stated this VERY early on, but I needed to talk to guys in Baton Rouge, Louisiana who were around my age and who like playing a wide variety of pop and soft rock music, and talk about their experiences and learn about new music stores and music venues to try.

OK Ok... Lets try this one more time. ... I think I know the perfect person for you to talk to. Her name is Lynard Dylan... Right here on BM.
Here's the link: http://www.bandmix.com/lynard-dylan/

Now the only caution I can share with you is that Ms Lynard is afflicted with Tourette's Syndrome..But if you can get past that... She'd probably know who to hook you up with some people that would love to chat about musical experiences... Its a start...and who knows... It may lead to something great..
