If you ever watched Glenn Beck, in the past, He spent an entire season pointing these things out and showing his audience how it came to be.. He was crazy indeed, but I happen to think he was right.

I've survived enough dooms days in my life to recognize that those who continually beat the doomsday drum tend to view people as completely incapable of creative (or even repentant) behavior / reaction towards difficulty and impending doom.

You sound very much like a fatalist, and fatalists who believe their on an irreversible path to destruction have no hope, unless they're hoping for doom. Either way you cut that pie, it's a pretty gloomy life to lead - hence my statement, ignorance is bliss if you're a fatalist - better to live your life not knowing you're going to be run over by a train if that end is INEVITABLE, as you seem to think it is.

The question is not, "is he a liar?" more is what he says accurate?

truthfully not much, he may in fact believe what he is saying, so in that instance he is not a liar.

it would take a transcript to debunk most of what he is saying.

TARP is not nationalization, in fact, it is a rather piss poor attempt at restraint.
nationalization is, in the Stalinist motif is dictatorially controlled bureaucracy acting as a board of directors.
What your seeing here is much more similar to national socialist bureaucracy in a creeping fashion, not dictated but legislated.
The is no censorship at all in america, this conversation is proof enough of that.

all these are American companies, all the rest are owned out right by governments.

Politics is a war of words, so then, the words you use matter.

in a free political environment you will always have many political factions.
this can make the society vulnerable to stagnation through political stalemate, or vulnerable to dictatorship mainly due to the people demanding order.
all democratic republics are open to interpretation.
The Jeffersonian agrarian ideal, though romantic has never existed in America,
it is very difficult to revive something that never existed.
America is simply contracting because of global competing interests.
this contraction will lead to less wealth.
the politicians are contributing to the destruction of america, (if you want to call it that) by insisting that america remain an empire when the resources are not available, and the people are not ruthless enough to make war and take those necessary resources.
the devaluation of the currency is simply an attempt to fool the people into thinking nothing has changed, when in fact everything has changed.
we are no longer the leader, the world doesn't want that anymore.
is that a realistic view on their part? maybe.
but we should not provide a service that is not wanted nor requested.
