A DM vocalist can look like anything, but he posted a picture of himself on a pond raft, rather than almost any other type of picture while he claims to be an expert DM singer - and has no equipment, music posted or anything else to show he can actually do something.

Fair enough Mike, maybe he does come off as unprepared and posted a profile picture outside the norm of what people expect a musician to look like here. But calling it gay, even jokingly, was unfair; that could be said of most of the profile pictures posted here, even yours. The point is we veterans should try to help and encourage those at the beginning of their journey, not run them down. And if someone has no music posted GET OVER IT. What if a music fan wanted to post on this forum, would you run him off for having no music as well?

Well, I wasn't the first to comment on the picture - Scotty was: "Change that pic, it looks like that kid is performing fellatio on you or vice versa.. lol Oh that is sooooooo bad. Why does one post a pic of two guys in swimwear? Ewwwwww.. Bad planning, people.. lol".
I tried to give the guy a little advice, to start with.
If a fan joins this forum (not sure why they would, but anyway...) of course no one is going to say anything about them not posting music.
Since I started searching for some music partners, I have found that its a pretty fair way of judging abilities. Way back when, I was using the old 'two cassette deck' method to bounce tracks, or just recording with the built-in mics on a cassette boombox. Yeah, the sound sucked, but it got the song ideas across enough for the other band members to be able to learn the songs.
Today, anyone with a computer and a cheap USB mic (or a video camera, or a phone for that matter) can record songs and there's a million places to put them up online for free.

We've come to expect and accept such comments from Scotty. He'll be the first to admit it. Maybe I was hoping for more from you.

A lot of people have come and gone from this site in the five years I've been involved, and most of it's due to the regulars on here running people off for being different, or not having music on their player, or for a number of other dumb reasons. I'm to the point where all of my friends are on fb and won't have any reason to come here anymore. Best of luck.
