perhaps, but I can visualize Blake Shelton or Zak Brown Band twisting it up a little, phrasing it just right and making a hit out of it.. remember commercialism has to be simple to fit the masses buying it.. now if I can find a standard notation musical transcription website where I can test the way I want to phrase these words divided into 1/32 notes 1/4 notes etc. and post the end result back here at the boards, then I might be able to persuade you to come over to our side and see a hit develop before your eyes..

Lyrics are just words until applied to music.

Actually Sans, The U.S. Copyright law protects your work the moment it's "fixed" into existence. That is...If You write an original lyric right now and post it.. (in this case fixed in digital media)_ You own the copyrights. Public Domain (PD Copyrighted material) doesnt go into effect for your work today for the next 95 years. (Used to be 75 until Sonny Bono legislated a new act on it and made it 95 years)

Unfortunately , that protection doesn't 'enforce' your distribution rights... Meaning, the work could be stolen regardless..

major or highly placed publisher you are the real deal. They then
shop the product to the reps. of music makers then you agree to
let them have their way with your song and be satisfied with what you get.
After you have done this a few times you then can work a better deal now

and put them to music, and scratch record them.
Anything you right is copyrighted at the moment you
right it down. Copyrights where the lawyers get invovled

has anybody ever submitted tunes to music publication companies or producers and then was told by them in their replies ( if you lucky enough to hear back from them) that your product sounds "manufactured" ? just what does the term "manufactured" mean in the music publishing industry anyways?

When they say canned, they mean it doesn't sound natural or
flowing or its forced. Go to my profile and listen to
"The Heart Of Angelene" . From front to back its there, clean and crisp.
Thats what they want to hear the first time.

They want to hear a no doubt about it HIT. A finished product.
My best advise to be successful writer is to move to Nashville and
network your way into the local writers scene. It's very large. Go to
the in -the -round gatherings that are on every night of the week in
most all bars in and out of town. Through meeting great players
you can obtain quality instrumentation on your recordings. There are
THOUSANDS of people just like you that are already there doing it.
Publishers dont want to do any work at song development or quality
control. Thats your job. Quit looking at what stops you and see
what gets you there.[/b]

KLUG, would you agree 20 years ago, music publishers did allow submissions of material through the mail more readily than today?.. a local dude in Springfield, said sometimes the best thing is to just send in piano and vocal or guitar and vocal of a song because the first thing they will do if they see something they like will to strip it down and arrange it with their studio musicians anyhow..

ahhhh, "Heart of Angelene" deserves some airplay...nice..
