Just a personal observation from someone who travels a lot. If I get a day off, I do a search for "music venues" and check out what the city offers.
From my experience, these are the one who "seem" to be most rocking cities (not in any particular order) by virtue of having more live music venues with lots of National and LOCAL rock bands performing regularly. I confess that I'm probably missing a few but go ahead and chime in
Almost any large city in Texas, New York, California, Tennessee & Ohio
Louisville KY
Wilmington NC
Seattle-Tacoma WA
Toronto Ontario (they wouldn't like being called American LOL)
Philadelphia PA
I admit a bias in choosing guitar based rock bands as my standard for "ROCK"
Never been to Detroit but I have my suspicions that they should be at the top of this list.
Again, I haven't checked out every city but these ones stick out to me. Comments? If you have a city you want to add, please do.
