It will serve nothing for the new strings like it says...they still need to stretch to their working lenght first.

I thought of that a long time ago but locking nuts have made it somewhat unnecessary. I think a guitar that tunes itself (continuously and automatically) would be very popular.

For almost 1 grand more?? No thanx... I prefer to fine tune it myself... after all.. how out of tune does your axe get while performing live. I always have my electronic tuner set up on stage anywayz should I feel the need to tune it up...

I like the look of the new Gibson Robotic Guitar, but I do not think I would buy it. I do not want a computerized guitar, what if the thing has a mind of its own and decides to eat all of your equipment (Like the commercial on their website of it killing a Fender Strat'). Lmao.

Yeah well, I think I would go with the Fender VG, just flip a switch and change the tuning as opposed to having a robot warp the strings. Guitars do not get that out of tune on stage that a robot needs to fix it every four seconds.

Instead of paying the $2500 for that Gibson, I would prefer to take that same money and go buy myself an ESP M1000 with a great Marshall amplifier, and add some effect pedals to the mix. Look, face it, for that kind of money a guitarist can buy totally new gear all the way around. Just my opinion. *Shrug*

at last now there is no reason to have to suffer listing to some shitty guitar player playing ten miles out of tune...but on the other hand why dont the company just sell a guitar that plays itself,imagine you could just stand there pulling all those guitar solo faces alaa angus young and your trusty axe will do all the hard work......its all bollox ...its beyond fecking lazy...learning when your instrument is in tune and not in tune is all part of the learning process..this thing is only one stop short of guitar hero...anyone who buys this thing needs to be rounded up and deported back too canada....................zing.

Those cheap Ibanez guitars with a wammy lose tune after every dive, no help for those things..

I stand corrected then, lol. But, I still do not want a robot tuning my guitar. I can look down at a tuner on the ground and do it myself. *Shrug*

guitars are never in tune all the way up the fretboard,even when tuned correctly at the nut and intonation done . a compensated nut helps ala BUZZ FEITEN . I find tuning with a tuner then compensating by ear for whatever song im playing works best , just check individual notes of main riff or chord if they're out just adjust till it sounds good to your ear . usually only G and B strings from maybe 5th - 10th fret. By the way anyone else hate vocal correction (pitch) on recordings , you can hear it working, sounds unnatural DONT EXPECT A MACHINE TO KEEP U IN TUNE ! this is why playing by ear is important for guitarists also if your out of tune at a gig u should be able to do it on the fly (missing a couple of notes is better than hitting all out of tune.) cheers!
