The arrogant crap in this thread literally made me sick to my stomach.

And it doesn't surprise me that so many people claim the first black president isn't even an American. Most black people don't feel American anyway (if a cat has babies in an oven, that doesn't make them muffins), seeing how we're treated, but I'm disappointed anyway. I'm young enough to be naive, though.

I seriously doubt you feel as indignant by acerbic and vocal protests if the RNC through some legal trickery conspired to make Arnold Schwarzenegger president.
I think in many circles he would be quite popular despite the fact that he is an Austrian national by birth, and his father was a member of the Nazi party.

No one has mentioned his race so it is you who is introducing racism into this.

Besides he is half-white so I'm not sure how you can make the charge? I could care less if he is green with purple polka dots. We have laws in this country that he arrogantly dismisses daily.



But I stumped for a black candidate in my precinct when I was politically active in the early 90s. His race had nothing to do with my support. I don't look at ANYONE in terms of what color they are. I notice that many black people do though, and that is as sad as when a white person does.

My family is famous for standing up and actually even fighting the KKK in my home town, the largest all-white city of America....Vidor TX.


CNN wrote Vidor up as the most racist city in America only 6 years ago. The residue of racism still exists but they no longer do cross burnings twice a year on the side of I-10 because my family was instrumental in running the KKK out of town (though they only went north about 15 miles) when the Clinton Administration was powerless to do so in 1996.

So that racism charge is a red herring. Don't you believe it.

JAzz, Your statement is powerful and extremely loaded...Lets please unpack the predicates here;

Please note, I personally was elated to see America make a break-through and bring in a black man for president... On That day I was proud to be an American.

However, I did not vote for Obama... because quite frankly, Obama was not fit for the job..plain and simple...Why does it have to be a race issue? This man had no background in leadership, other than a few "kumbaye moments" in some south-side Chicago community, where he started practicing law and organization. Marion Barry has better quals, and that dude was one pipe shy of being a crack-head... I'll say it again..Obama was NOT FIT for the job. Beyond that I'd drink a beer with him...

Still , if you truly feel the way you indicated ... and I believe you do and where speaking from your heart ... then perhaps you should not read this thread ? It is good to hear what you have to say and your opinion ... thank you. After all if one's beliefs can not hold up under criticism then they should be changed or they are not really one's beliefs are they ? Many feel this thread is interesting and somewhat entertaining and thought provoking and entertaining ... in direct contrast to you. ... If Obama was really an American then it would not be an issue as it is not difficult to prove if you are. But instead the entire issue is riddled with lies, missing info, forgery and stinks of intrigue ??? Are you familiar with the woman who raised him and her connections to the CIA ? There is a lot of controvesy around this as well. Some have even died just before they revealed evidence that would discredit him ??? Yod's posts demonstrate this issue very well I believe.

When one is young there is a "robust" idealism that gets in the way at times of the brain in much the same manner as the "little head" often rules over "the larger head". We all have suffered this in various degrees. You are in the process of formulating and experiencing ... that is all and this is quite natural. You speak out perhaps more readily than you might after a few years of experience. It is better that you do speak than do not.

Racism has always existed in this country to some extent. It varies greatly from area to area like anything else. Your statement about the muffins in the oven is very interesting. You could be correct about "most Black people" I do not know having never seen any figures on that. The Blacks I do know, friends and otherwise do feel American I think to various extents but they almost all agree that things could be much better. Of course if you speak to Mexican Americans they will say the same as do Indians ... both Native Americans and those from India and Pakistan. I can see your disappointment.

I personally believe that Obama is a mere puppet who is good at reading a teleprompter, lying and being a chameleon ...all the traits to be a "good" politician. It really matters not if he is Black, Grey or White ... it is whatever they need at the time to accomplish what they wish. But actually being a good President is much more difficult and dangerous than being a puppet politician. His real performance demonstrates that the people of the USwere once again duped and used and given false hope. Have you read the "Executive Orders" ? Please do so if you have not. They are scary and so are the things he is doing. His Masters have his illigetimacy as a bridle. This is nothing new and it always exists whether a Black or White man is involved ... race has nothing to do with that. Broken promises, lies and reappointing or promoting those in Bush's administration kind of says it all. He is merely a continuation of the same.

Any hope or "change" he promised will be replaced by him being remembered as the President who destroyed the USA. Britain rules the White House even if it is occupied by a Black or Mulatto. While I do share common respect for ETU as a another human being, and I even enjoy his postings, humor and music, I do not necessarily feel I am galvanized by his postings here .. Out of respect for the forum, I simply try not to be too terrible of an ass about my own convictions...


Just so were clear, I probably stand at the extreme opposite end of the scale from ETU when it comes to religious tenets/beliefs, etc. Thus I cant be galvanized by a postulate I flat-out can't agree with..

However, I do appreciate the spirit in which he has presented the posting... I do get it...

It is my intention to clear up a few things in this regard but in reality it may well create more of a storm and many more questions ... who knows.

Once again I stress that little time is left, the moments are few and we should be consolidating our power and become more like warriors rather than a gaggle of quibbling old hags. There are loads of young and talented musicians out there who look in part to those of us more aged and experienced. We should not appear as feeble minded infirm idiots who busy ourselves in the wagging of our members. Let us concentrate on reality and what is happening now at this moment and what can be done... let us become inspiration instead of comic/tragic relief.

There are many here in this Forum who are inspirational in their own unique ways. More than I thought and this in itself is very pleasing. More and more musicians are voicing their opinions everywhere ... Tod Rundgren ... Dave Mustan and the founder of Smashing Pumpkins as well as many others and bands in every country of the world ... some very successful some not. TA
