This thread (and the news as of late) inspired a new song today, "Crazy Years".

Here's verse 1 and a chorus (first draft)

Boss man says 'I own your life
Nothing you can do, ain't no lie
Right out there, there's a hundred other guys
Who'll jump on your job and spit in your eye.'
Police man says 'I can do what I please
Strip search and frisk you, just 'cause you sneezed
Throw you in a jail cell, leave you there to freeze
The court says I can do it, to keep the peace.'
