I submit that a black kid in a white neighborhood is safer than the reverse.

There is a class of people now that I call ferals. Many are black. They speak a different language and might as well be from another planet. They shoot people regularly and guys like Zimmeran know to be cautious as a result. If there are four burglaries in your neighborhood and the bad guys are all identified as black youths then I imagine you are watching for black youths.

You may be amused to know this: When I first moved back to Atlanta in the 80s I moved (without knowing or caring) into a moving up Black middleclass neighborhood. Since my brother and I looked like thugs folks were a little reserved at first!

I didn't blame them.

As to Zimmerman - I'm reminded of an anecdote I heard repeatred for many years when I qualified for my various permits. "A big mean bad guy is standing across the street wtih a machete in his hand. You walk across the street and he attacks you."

Yes - you can shoot. But you'll wish you hadn't. There was no situation until you made it one.

That said I've heard so many conflicting stories and at least two admissions that the govt media was deliberately framing the case inaccurately to pursue an agenda. Not sure what to believe.

It pays to be armed these days but if you are, you have a double duty to avoid confilct.

There is a whole lot of racial hatred in America...

If I grew up as an African American person, with love in my soul , for my family, heritage and such.. ... and if I was listening to story after story of how my grand parents and all their friends became abused, ostracized, beaten, murdered...You can believe I'm gonna grow up angry and I'd be hard pressed to think that "white-folk" as a 'culture' or a movement was any good on any level..

A white man, by himself, is not likely perceived as a threat to any individual black man... But , a white man, with a movement or an agenda... (as in political and legislative) Well, that's gonna set off alarms... "Why is he on my street..what's he gonna try to take from me today?"

From a social perspective: If white folk would care to take one moment in their lives and project themselves deeply into the shoes of their African American brothers and sisters... one might begin to grasp the magnitude of concerns that an African American faces, even today.

I can only imagine, what horror the African American people of the American past had to endure. In the eyes of those , who became enraged...my community of anglo-saxons must have appeared to them as monsters... Sadly, many of us were... I am indeed sorry...

Is there ever going to be a day of reconciliation? I'm talking about true reconciliation...Not the typical, "you stay in your corner and I';ll stay in mine..." I mean real reconciliation where neither side should ever need to worry or think in fear again......If there is a way...How shall it get done?...


Answer these questions, and therein will we find the solution to this race issue in America.

As far as the race baiter's. NONE of these militant black a$$holes spent one day as slaves on anyones plantation. And neither have any that listen to them. Their leaders simply want them to feel as if they had to further their agenda, which is race baiting. Without racial conflicts the Jacksons, Sharptons and the black panther types would have to either go on welfare or get real jobs to eat. They have the same opportunities to stay in school like everyone else. Many choose to drop out because it's"cool". Then they bitch because they can't get jobs. They are such easy marks for the Marxists, Socialists, and Communist left movements and those folks want to push racism all the way to accomplish their agenda. They seem to forget about all the whiteys that died at one time to free them from the other whiteys who held them as slaves.

Slacker , Factually speaking, you are not incorrect.. My great, great Gramps didnt subscribe to slavery and I dont know( either way) of any history in my immediate lineage contending with slavery... But I do know this...

Consider my analogy here... If a man beats a woman to an inch of her life, again and again and again... I don't think that him, sending her flowers and an apology is gonna make things right. ( In fact, as far as that woman is concerned, he's dead, persona-non-Gratis...and she has left the nest for good...never to look back.

This is the legacy that an early generation of white Americans left the world.

We can rationalize all day long about the protocols, which we continue to misfire on each other between whites and blacks... We can placate, pretend its alright... laugh and tell each other and believe in the typical horrid logic of how some of our best friends are 'black', as if that will fix things.

Some folks will be correct, some wont be.

What I am suggesting...is ,,.. Can we swap out protocols and look at the real solutions to make things right?

Can we change our inclination to stop beating others (Metaphorically speaking) as proof positive that we are earnest in out attempt to reach out and make right...

Zimmerman will be acquitted because the affidavit for the arrest warrant of 2nd degree murder is so flimsy that it could be thrown out before a trial even happens.

organizations like the NAACP will exploit situations like this to hold on to their shrinking political influence.
if black and white aren't in conflict the NAACP has no power.

I think you've missed the point. It's not about the "war" so much as it is about declaring martial law because of the war.

It's about dividing Americans so we can be conquered at the same time.
