Though it may be beautiful european art, many of those pictures are no more accurate than the one Etu put up (though his attempt at blasphemy hit the target he wanted). He wasn't a European...none of them were.

I believe that the pagans have a point about mixing the holy with the profane. As a former atheist that was all the proof I needed to convince myself it was all a bunch of hooey. In other words, if we truly believe that He is the way, the truth, and the life....why do we observe fables when the truth would be both better and easier?

We do so because a controlling organization in Europe told us to, and never considered that there was a better way. They were wrong and it's time to admit and reject it. Or we should at least accept that many will miss the truth because we've allowed it to be obscured by greco-traditions.

Here is the truth. All your Creator wants from you is to trust Him in every way. Abraham trusted God and it was counted unto him as righteousness, it made him a friend of God. No one has ever been saved any other way.

May we all learn to trust Him a little more on this Feast of Firstfruits.

as far as the bunny goes,

it doesn't really make it to blasphemy, not by a long shot.
I've seen blasphemy in illustrative form.
the point is really lost on me, except maybe that his parents might have had rabbit for Easter dinner and it unnerved the child.

Though I have to confess although I have been a christian all my life even went to catholic schools as a child, but I completely missed the Easter bunny, well as far as his role as a religious Icon.
I always thought it was a protestant thing.
