"x2 huh Slacker, if you can't realize
Sean's talent how can you reconize
anyones"

"I've had a piece up forever."

Are you the brain dead moron some of your posts make you out to be or what Lynard? I said nothing about Sean's playing and never have. I have said dozens of times that I can't even watch videos because of my line modem. I answered what was requested, that being "post your videos".
Neither did some others who posted on this thread. Take a class on reading comprehension and quit putting words in other peoples mouths. You give stupid a bad name.

Trying to stir up some muck, Lynard?

I give my nod to the finger picking old dude.

Lynard, I have to agree that you missed the point. Sean has been posting the same trype for a couple of years now..."Look at me look at me" another video of him wanking in front of the camera, usually out of time and not anywhere close to being in tune with the backing tracks. Nearly every song makes him out to be a EVH wannabe. And for the record, I'm not attacking a new guy this time... .
All of this has been brought to Sean attention, and he basically ignores it, and a couple of times a month he posts another video-often claiming that it's something new, even though he's posted the same song many different times. The regulars here know this. They've seen his posts. Maybe you are unfamiliar. That being said, it's no excuse to go through picking at everyone who responded and (incorrectly) downgrading them. I hope you are not going down that same path you took previously. I'm not attacking you...but I think that you should think about the statements you've made about the other members here: They are categorically false and blatantly intended to be hurtful (even though I seriously doubt that anyone really has taken it to heart).

Why? Because they don't see things the same way you do?

I need variation.
I am trying to get "varied results" with music written.
I am trying to avoid "Pink Floyd" and the similar sound for the most part, because it feels old to me now.
Something new is always better in the AM.

Sean should avoid the direct EVH sound for fear of being thought of as a copy.. If he could take the base of what he does and spin it a little, you might even get something original. idk..

I did three or four passes and kept the one that I liked best - mistakes and all.
I have kept it up just so I'm not one of those that has no music on their profile, and it proves a point.

I'm not looking to post new stuff. I might some day, but it's not high on the list.

I come here for the conversations and such.
I have a band and all that, so I don't have to use bandmix to push musical ideas.
I have no desire to try to show off either.

Also for the record, I have stated this before many times: Sean, you know your way around the guitar. There's no denying that. However, there's no composition whatsoever. You're talking about guitar solos-but there's no boundaries to identify what you are doing. It's not a solo. It's just you slapping together a bunch of techniques into a mish-mash of incohesive sounds. If you used those techniques to actually compose something, I'd pat you on the back all day long. BUT, you don't. It's just, flurry, bend, whammy dive, arpeggio, whammy dive, flurry, etc. with no rhyme or reason.
Ozzy told Zakk Wylde once that "anyone can jam, you need to write something". That's the difference between a professional and a guy who posts youtube vids of himself wanking just to feed his own ego.

Yeah I am Slacker, you are so smart and talented.

The last 70 year old man that jumped bad with me
I grabbed his nose and pulled harder, he understood.

Yes I'm brain dead Slacker, a moron? if you say so,
you are starting to scare me.

I didn't see any solo up on your site, some fingerpicking,
which must be so much harder than the way I play.

You an expert on studio's and DAWs, but can't even run
computer? You wouldn't even make a good old lady.

At least you didn't wake up with dirt in your eyes!

Name calling aloud right Mr Slacker, you wouldn't stand
a chance name calling with me, so I'm not going to play.

Practice while you can, tommorow never knows.

Gt and especially you Johnny7 your
posts speak for themselves. Maybe
you'd do better on a religous or
political forum. I thought this one was
about playing music, not talking about
what you can play.

I hear you talking........

Lynard

" The last 70 year old man that jumped bad with me

So you are a self professed homosexual?

" You an expert on studio's and DAWs, but can't even run
computer? You wouldn't even make a good old lady. "

You got the hots for me, Lynard? An old lady? Time for biology classes Lynard. I have a slow line modem so that means I can't operate a computer? Whatever. By the way, Lynard, I'm just another pretty face to you.

"I didn't see any solo up on your site, some fingerpicking,
which must be so much harder than the way I play."

So a single guitar playing an unaccompanied piece of music isn't a solo? If I added drums, bass and a rhythm guitar, would that make it a solo?

By the way, Lynard, I do not criticize anyones music. If they are just learning, I would not wish to discourage them. If they have been playing a long time, and are still not polished, I would not discourage them. If they are better than I am, I do not try to make myself look better by picking apart what they do. Want to know why Lynard? Because music isn't a contest, and every musician has the right to be proud of what he has accomplished, no matter where they are at in their musical journey. Creating music is a personal endeavor and it beings enjoyment to the musician no matter where he is at any skill level. Music is not a contest.

You'd hear me playing if you took the time to listen.
I can play your game too, ya know? I 'dare' you to play the piece I have up on my player.
Come on, it aint that flashy...
Bet ya can't!

I was here long before you, and I reckon I'll be here long after you stagger off somewhere - so don't overly concern yourself with my forum.
