though it is beyond me why anyone would go to the trouble of claiming association with a practice he was sure was amalgamation of ancient paganisms propagated by charlatans.

do you visit witch doctor when you feel poorly?

It's possible I'm not Christia, and I'm not angry
about that fact.

You know it's accomodating when they set you up
on a nice easy pay plan, and send you a bill for your
10% tithe everyweek, very accomodating. What not
giving 10% let's go back and study that verse in the
Bible. I love the one where the guy says I'm making to
much money to tithe 10% now, and the preacher says,
come on let's pray JCP, "oh Dear Lord could you find away
where Jcp could make less money so he would be able to
tithe 10% as you've directed.

I claim no association with the Sumerians, yet I don't deny
history. Ancient paganists? How come so much of the Jewish
Bible is made up from these old written stories of the Sumerians?

I don't go to doctors, I run and exercise for health. There is a
thousand what-ifs, you can throw at me from that statement,
(and it's been done). So far besides physical's and drug tests,
I've never visited a doctor, maybe it's luck, or maybe I made
my own luck>

I find you to be quite articulate with words JCP, but like all of us
on this forum, we only answer(and only in a way) the things we
agree and disagree on, without thought to context.

Makes it easy.

Just a statement on a thread no harm intended, but you'll
take it however your mind interprets and feeds it back to
you.

Lillith Fair and the Sumerians and the Jews and badmix forum,
what do they all have in common? Easter the bunny didn't come
here, I got my 8 yr old grandson a 22 rifle, and we don't have
many bunnies, just dead ones.

Peace, may spring you the joy of the promise of renewal.

That picture kinda looks goth to me,
we only answer when it serves our
needs, we're all guilt of that.

I don't understand the picture
care to explain?

for the believer no explanation is necessary,
for the doubter no explanation is possible.

if a person has convinced himself that he doesn't need God,
an explanation on how to meet Him would hardly be beneficial

well, I'm off to Mass :D

I didn't see any mention of him at the store
yesterday, he must not have the following
the bunny does.

That's not me saying that, but the way the
world looked to me yesterday..... Candy, and
colored eggs, and baskets, and pretty suits
and dresses, yeah it's just damn near Xmas,
no toys, just clothes and candy, but it won't be
long till that changes. I'm wrong I saw a lot of
toys for the holiday out there yesterday.

Well my old lady didn't get up for sunrise services,
and I was wanting t o go for the free breakfast afterwaeds,
I'm like my boy Dietary Baptist.

I'd like to sit in church with my friends who attend regularly,
and when they holler out amen during the sermon, I could holler
out something like, "your g#dd#mn straight, or f**k A",
agreeing and disagreeing at the same time, I had my chance.
The last piano song I did at church, I was going to play "Truckin",
on the grand piano and I can sing loud, I wanted to see who would
get physical with me at church, I chickened out it was a pipe dream.

Here is the straight scoop.

Hell is real and it has vacancies.
Satan wants our eternal soul.
God wants our eternal soul yet we have sinned against him and his justice must be served.
Jesus died to serve God's justice in our stead so that we may be redeemed in our Fathers eyes.

Accept that we are sinful and confess our sins to God the Father and be truly repentant.
Accept Jesus as our Savior.
Ask the Holy Spirit come into our hearts to teach and strengthen us that we may turn from our sin.
Work daily that our walk through this life might Glorify Jesus Christ.

There is no other way ... accept to eternal damnation.

It really is that simple.

And that is your opinion, I think this kinda
of hardline religous thinking, has got us in
trouble, not everyone believes as you do.
And that doesn't mean they're wrong, but
that style of thinking is why the Christians
will lose to the Muslims, alot of talk no action.

Yes it's nice to observe religious holidays, but the big guy really wants you to "walk the walk" not so much "talk the talk".

That's what always bothered me about some Catholics, they do horrible stuff until Sunday. They go to church, go to confession and do it all over again.

No, that's not going to wash exactly and the big guy is waiting for you to make it right. Everyone gets what they deserve in the end.

A good Catholic (person) doesn't act that way and the church certainly doesn't expect one to act that way. There's a word for such a person-- hypocrite.

Happy Easter to those who celebrate.

For you Pastafarians, Happy Flying Spaghetti monster holiday. :-)
What the hell is a "good Catholic (person)"?

Meant to convey that a Good Catholic doesn't act that way-- but more generally, a good person (regardless of faith) doesn't act that way.
