To all on the Bandmix forum, there are truly some great
players(mixed in with the not so great on this forum), and
I have learned much. I'm going to try to keep my remarks
limited to musical subjects, cause this is what I know. I didn't
mean to hurt or offend anyone (well maybe one) on this forum,
I'm new at internet relationships and perhaps to crass and literal.
I really appreciate all the free advice I've gotten from you guys
off of this forum, and I think I'll need it in the future as I drag my
music on forward.
I feel I owe a special apology to Mr Sanshouheil and Mr Yod, I
judged you thru the blinders of my own phukked up Christian
philosophy. I worked the church (for no pay) 7 shows on Saturday
nights and Sunday mornings, (if you ain't play Sunday mornings
you ain't playing to the big and moneyed crowd) here's some
observations...... The doors are locked, so no one can get in
without securities knowledge, you can get out, cause once we have
you in we fleece your pockets and need you out the door so we
can run the next crowd thru. The doors have to be locked so no one
is able to come in and take the money (this is worried about). I'd sit
on the stage (playing a Taylor 814ce and when they'd let me a Steinway
grand piano) and watch, the guys who c ollected the money never
had to sit thru the service they sat in the back offices eating donuts
and drinking coffee and guarding the money(they looked like the
happiest guys at church). While the praise team (church band), had set
times to be onstage and a look and sound that the church wanted
projected. All sound and video was controlled by the church
soundman(you don't use you pa at these big churches you plug right
into the floor all sound was snaked back to the soundman in the
balcony, also your video monitor(A 7 foot one) was also back there
so you could observe yourself,(we must show more enthuasim during
our performance). I could go on and on but I respect both of you guys
and my comments towards you were uncalled for, I'm jaded.
Just because my religous beliefs are jaded and fading is no excuse for
calling you names, I'm sorry. I realize now that maybe I just hate the
way todays church has become, not all the good people that are
involved in the church. I'm just a man who's not afraid to make a stand
but sometimes I'm wrong.
Peace
