JC, It was hard enough trying to decipher the Getty's Burg Address in English, let alone in Dutch.

11 minute song WoW! You make me want to do some blotter, crank it up
and turn the lights out. Used to do that with Pink Floyd, Beatles, ZEP,
in the 70s.
I knew you weren't gonna make a liar out of me. I like it when my gut is right.
You know you could write music for "The Walking Dead" show. Thats my new
favorite TV show.
Great job Vampier, Welcome to the General Chat. Now you will have to post more eventually. Coments of bringing up the vox are right but over all good job.[/b]

Vampier wrote:I thank you for your compliment upon my music. Erwin Rommel ... the German side of my family ...meine Mutter were from Ulm, the same town from where Rommel came. He was a brilliant tactician and an excellent leader from his "Ghost Division" to the "Afrika Korps". To put it simply he was like my John Wayne so to speak. He has always been an inspiration to me for a great variety of reasons. I painted Rommel and David Bowie ala Low on the back of my leather jacket when I lived in San Francisco ... it caused much excellent conversation. UberDrama ... wonderful description of this thread !!! I am a Pagan of the Ancient sort. My beliefs in this respect can best be likened to many Native American beliefs. I grew up amongst several Indian Tribes and quite near a couple of reservations. My wife and I live our lives, marking their passage with Ritual as does anyone who has spiritual belief. I love astronomy and the celestial effects upon our planet and others which has always been undeniable. I know of what you speak ...my Birthday is April 10 so we always see what is due to happen on our Birthdays out of curiosity. Ta

I read Rommel's biography as a teenager. Always thought he was cool, too, even though he was on the other side. Interestingly, he was one of a few who were willing to stand up to Hitler...always admired him for that.

Brilliant tactician....

I work with a lot of German churches, an an ordained minister through a church in Tubingen. Go there quite often. Have visited Ulm a couple of times. Don't speak a lot of deutch but can sing about a dozens songs in the language.

I will check out the Walking Dead Show...I do not watch or know much about TV ...like the name though. "Fallen Angels" was a three hour production of live music with no breaks, that is each piece merged into the next. It took 2 years to put it together. When I started singing in bands in 1970 they were cover bands of course...Beatles ... Pink Floyd ...Deep Purple ...Uriah Heep ...The Who ... The Stones ...Led Zeppelin ... Hawkwind ...Styx ...Black Sabbath ... The Moody Blues, to name a few. I spoke of the mix and vocals on a previous post here. Ta

I always like what one finds out after some good conversation. Even Winston Churchill said in a speech in Britain during the war that he considered Rommel a good soldier and worthy adversary. Rommel was to become the interim leader in Germany had Valkerye succeeded. He was highly respected by the people and populations of Britain, France and Germany. His son Manfred became the Mayor of Ulm after the war. German Churches ... excellent. The big ones are awesome and even the small ones possess immense qualities. The older the better. I used to be into stained glass in a big way. That is admirable what you do there. I grew up with Lili Marlene as a lullaby. Ta

...the Lost Moments ... much like a Chess Game in which your each and every move dictates the amount of moves left and the end ... we all have our place upon the board. Some are not aware yet some are. Those who are above the norm so to speak, those who have a developed imagination and who possess the actual creative abilities to manifest ...these are individuals whom I have always sought out. They have a highly operational instinct and can draw upon immense energy from within themselves. Many have fallen to the traps that exist everywhere. They have become somehow "lost" within themselves and in their trance they remain experiencing only "Lost Moments". Eventually many die before their actual physical death. They exist in comfortable coffins which are secreted within comfortable tombs ... dead to the world around them. Their days are marked by the slow and steady degeneration of their abilities and loss of potential. Yes, they risk nothing but they do nothing. Music is but only one of a vast ocean of creative endevour. There is macrocasm and there is microcasm. Everyone has their own reasons for music and this is as it should be. There can be no true wisdom without knowledge of the occult ... that which is hidden. The tombs are being rattlrd now by the distant invasion of the continent of Afrika. The secret and silent "war" that has been going on all around anyone who is living today, has been going on since their very birth. Very soon even tucked away in the soft folds of your coffin , you will begin to hear the distant screams ... screams that have been ringing in my ears and many others for decades now. The rattle that shakes the tomb is a death rattle and it will not subside. It announces the intended creation of a Charnel Planet and this planet is the one you are on. AFRICOM is AFRICON and "Humaniyarian Intervention" is nothing other than mass murder. War is Peace. Slacktivism is genocide. U2 Bono is nothing more than the "boy" or lackey of Bill and Linda Gates. KONY 2012 is explotation ...yours if you embrace it. And the guilt for the resulting looting, slaughter and hatred will in part be yours also if you turn over and ignore the rattle than now grows in volume. Everyone makes their own choice and by not making a choice you also have at the same time made one. There has long been a "Calling" for those aware enough to hear and in the same manner there has been a "Quickening" for those who are sensitive enough to feel it. The animals and plants all around you have shown evidence of this for quite some time now. This is not including the direct "activities" that mankind has perpetrated with such hideous results. My intention is not to argue but to provoke thought and perhaps if I am quite fortunate ... discover a beast who has tired of it's present existence and has become disturbed and annoyed enough to rise and shake off the dust cloak of inactivity. One who roars with displeasure and capability and resolves to venture from the tomb into the fires of the burning world that lies about...one who screams to do battle a last time regardless of it's outcome ... one who can live and control the fear of such. One who is master of themselves and wishes to leave a mark . A rare creature and quite possibly an extinct one ?Ta

Me, I am on a constant vigilance to re invent myself... I am the Phoenix, risen from the ashes...I can drill through lead with my gaze, and see the truth that others try to hide, behind it... (And upon finding truth, I have discovered a lot of it is overrated and not so important). I am a warrior of peace...A peaceful warrior. I attract the flora and the fauna with my soul...and as such, I attract and pull words from thin air and assemble little bouquets of wisdom.... There is only one form of energy, which I am ever interested in...That is the energy of love, and God, for these are eternal. All the rest is transient...

Most of what you said I agree with, though my philosophical outlook is probably a mirror opposite of your image. I believe that great motivation comes from a source greater than oneself, yet we all have a freewill choice to answer that voice, or not.

Those who seek after vainglory will find that it wasn't worth the price, but those who seek to bless others will be blessed.

There is no more radical calling than to carry a cross.
