Mike thats a killer set up for your Marshall.

Do you use any effects? I didnt see an effects unit in there.

Hey I love the picture of all the strats. Do you use all of them at gigs?

Just curious

Keep On Rockin Man!

JW, I don't use a rack mount for my effects.. I use a homemade pedal board with a 1 Stop adapter to power my pedals. My two main guitars are my Clapton Signature Strat an my 84 Japanese Strat. The first sample on my page was recorded with the Jap. Strat.

Good stuff Mike. After I listened to Texas Boogie I went down to the local bar and started a fight! :D

Color me surprised, I thought you were using a JCM 2000 TSL head, Mike.
(I'd have bet the farm on it)

Had no idea you copped to a DSL, nice sounding to be sure.

Chief, what made you think that? I play everything from blues to metal and think the DSL is the better of the two tone wise especially if you use one amp for different genres.

Oh color me stupid on modern tones.

Here I thought the TSL was the better one.

You are saying the DSL is actually better sounding?
Wow and I just turned one away ... are they really better sounding for more styles? That just blew my mind..

That's exactly what I hate about Marshall amps, evey single one seems to be different and no 2 sound exactly the same.

Sometimes I think I'd be better off copping a Mesa head or combo that I already played the sh*t out of, so I know I can get what I need out of it.

The Marshall stuff is starting to piss me off.

I don't know what it is about that guitar. A friend let me borrow it for a while and I decided I needed to own it. I think it looks kinda goofy and is not very comfortable hanging on me for four hours. It just sings like nobody's business and compliments my "old school" playing style very well. Five years ago I might have said "A Tele? Nah, not my thing." I would have been wrong.

I have a Telecaster Esquire, the one with only one pickup from way back when. Maple neck - easiest action in the galactic quadrant. I usually play my strat but sometimes only a Tele will do.

Teles come in all shapes and sizes from dirt cheap knockoffs to really nice stuff. I've always thought that if you are gonnna have two guitars, one should be a Tele.

Scotty, I think they are.
BUT... you need to get a mod done so it can be footswitched from the Clean to the "Crunch" mode.
Then with those two, you have it all covered for classic rock and blues.

Switch over to the ultra gain channel for heavy music.
