Every time I get a little down I check that video and everytime it works.
I Love boating and the water. I plan on getting a Wooldridge 29 SS
when I retire. I Love that boat. Full fishing and tuff and also an overnighter.[/b]

My family was always into speed boats. Usually around twenty feet. The best was a twenty one foot Century, with a Chevy 350 inboard, all mahogany wood with chrome nose plates. It was gorgeous, but leaked like a sieve until it swelled. Two bilge?s on automatic just to keep it afloat for the first few days. The wildest was a Casper, a nine foot long, two seater tri hull that could get up to 70 MPH. The thing only sat an inch in the water and used a snowmobile engine with a water jet drive. You had to wear helmets while riding, or could knock each other out with a bad swell.

Looking at the videos, I am surprised at the speed of the sailing boats.

I always though about going to Greenwood lake in the winter and see if I could get a chance at riding an ice boat. Those things are pretty wicked looking and some of them can get over 100 mph. It seems amazing for a wind powered craft.

Anyway thank you KLUGMO for the pleasant distraction. :)
