Guitarists tend to make every song about their masturbatory wankly pankly solos.
As opposed to a bass player that uses the music to highlight his bass parts?

Yes, you are right. World of difference.
Tapping, BTW, is ONE technique. Save up your money and buy a Chapman Stick...then look for other Stick players and you'll figure out where you belong. Odd time signatures are neat, but tend to work against the groove. And I'm sure you know this, but the bass guitar is designed for the "lower end".
Frankly, as I told you before, I think you have talent with the intsrument, BUT I think you are a one-trick pony. Worse yet, you are so fueled by your own ego that it's your way or the highway...too bad. Ultimately, your route to success will be playing in an established band-in which case, you'll get to do your little odd metered bass tapping schtick for about 30 seconds out of every performance.
You haven't invented your own genre (it's evident that you think you have and want people to pat you on the back for your inguenity). (sp).
Learn other techniques, and learn to GROOVE.
