The stock of those advertisers who pulled out from Rush has been steadily plummeting since they did it.

Carbonite stock (NASDAQ:CARB) has plummeted nearly 12 percent, outpacing the drop of the NASDAQ index in that same time period by nine-and-a-half points. It was also one of the biggest decliners on the NASDAQ on Tuesday.

I nor my company will not do any further business with your company and plan on spreading the word. You pulled your support of Rush Limbaugh and therefore I'm pulling mine from you, rather than allowing the MSM or the leftist liberals to drive their agenda by elevating this issue and Rush's apology.

Those "massive" royalties are a drop in the bucket for them at this point.

Rush Limbaugh has an audience of 20 million on hundreds of stations. You can't tell me losing royaties from well over 200 stations every single day of the year won't hurt their bottom line. This only shows that they are liberals and stupid ones.

On the other hand, there might be 18,000 different local sponsors on "The Rush Limbaugh Show." Losing 28 advertisers is like losing a couple of french fries in the container at the drive-thru.

I hope this news brings their name back into the spotlight long enough for the R'n'R HoF to pull their heads out of their asses and enshrine them where they belong... fat chance.

Actually, yeah, I can. Rush gets a flat rate from the ASCAP. Limbaugh pays the ASCAP a flat rate for their entire catalogue. What you said would be true if Limbaugh had a license for exclusively Rush, but since it's a catalogue license, Rush doesn't lose anything.

Yes, the "licensee" doesn't pay more than once for the license yearly, but the artist gets paid by the licensor (ASCAP) out of all monies collected for licenses whenever their song is used

Being on such a large national network playing every single day for years is a HUGE chunk of change. I have absolutely no doubt it is their largest royalty source these days.

But like someone mentioned earlier, he'll probably start playing them more now just to irk them.

Again my whole contention is the hypocrisy of those who act like they are offended about what Rush said, but never seem to be offended when worse things in much worse taste are said about Sarah Palin's daughter. It seems like a minor would be off limits.

And they do the same with every woman that won't stay on their plantation, then go out and get others lathered up to distract from the real issue which is: THIS WOMAN WAS A LYING POLITICAL OPERATIVE TRYING TO MANIPULATE THE PUBLIC.

The advertisers have every right to choose what image they want their brand associated with as well. I'm not surprised many of them are bailing on this "blowhard" at the first sign of trouble.
