. I believe the definition of a recession is that the economy is on a downward spiral. We may not be going down any more but it has plateaued at a very low level. The economy is NOT going back up. Trust me, I've been self-employed for 20 years and I've never seen three consecutive years in such a miserable slowdown of work. It's truly pathetic.

There must always be physical based jobs. Labor will always be needed.
The work is there but gov. will not initiate it. There is enough
Infrastructure work accross this country from coast to coast to keep the computer challenged
work force busy for decades.
The next time you hear of a bridge falling down or sewer system failing or
water main breaking or trip over a cracked sidewalk or send your kid to
a dilapidated school.
That is government not at work.
The bailout money that went to the banks that passed it out in bonuses
would have been better spent refurbishing this country.

There's 12.8 million unemployed and 9.4 million IT service jobs open in the US. There's a huge chunk of unemployment to make up right there. Too bad High School only requires one Computer Class, if that. Most kids my age can't do anything but access facebook. The problem is they're afraid to try. Just last night I reformatted a hard drive and installed a new OS on it. It was the easiest thing I've ever done. Those IT jobs are ripe for plucking for someone with the know-how to do it or the balls to figure it out.

If IT were only as simple as managing OS's . :?
My biggest dilemma is that the vendors of high-end tech keep changing the rules so fast...that I cant tell you how many times I throw up my hands in despair ... I can only imagine that maybe the youngsters feel the same way..Just when they think they have something to latch on to...Pow!

IT is so volatile that I compare it directly to Rock & Roll.. (ANd My Job is Rock N Roll...as I get to create a lot of fancy buttons and showcase them for worried managers and execs)

Congrats folks, you scared another regular person that doesn't scream at the TV during politics..

Crazy political morons so self absorbed they don't write any music but perfectly willing to digress into politics so heated they'd gladly kill each other.

Pat yourself on the back, you are better musicians because of your efforts now. as if..

Either run for office or stfu, like most morons you are loud in private, quiet in public. You need a computer monitor to find your true voice.
How utterly pathetic..grow the f**k up, just a little.

I get a little good idea and every sh*t bird with a political stance thinks it's his new soapbox.

Well guess what, the good news is I used this thread to get material to write another tune and it's done. The bad news is that you people crapped all over it in political way that makes what you say convoluted at best. Did I need a better example to actually get you think productively or did a little general political rhetoric just send you over the edge?

I'm just glad I didn't actually have to use any of it because what I read here makes me think about leaving this forum filled with political wannabes as well.

You may want to concentrate on your music folks, because if you put that effort into your art you might actually churn out something that is actually better...that is if you can write anything at all, ever.

WTF? Scott you mentioned politics in the first post of this thread and asked us our opinion on something. Don't get mad because we answered. Threads take on a life of their own once released into the wild, no one owns a thread.

But you guys take it too far !!!!

The newbs come in here, read your rant and then leave never to come back !!!

Why do we have to run off all the people? WHY?

I know I won't ask anything else designed to get you people to think, it's way to sour and the burning smell is atrocious.

If you feel this angry, just go beat someone up. It works for me. (shrugs)

If you have to talk your talk, try not to scare off the woodland creatures and and everything else in ear shot.

No one ever wants to live in a war zone except for that crazy chick in the video by Don Henley ALL SHE WANTS TO DO IS DANCE.
