Thanks Glen...Indeed its different than singing in the shower LOl! I gotta laugh, When I got up there , two things transpired... I busted my "blues cherry" with that crew...and When I had first got introduced up there I told them, I was "Doing an original song, and since I'm new at this, that mean's ya'll have been hearing this one for at least 35 years... " Nobody got it!

I just found out an interesting Factoid... A fella named Geronimo Black Frequents the Kings X bar and, has also performed in that bar... I think he was there on the night I debuted my open mic number. Why is this important, you ask?

Well. its cause Geronimo is the son of none other than Jimmy Carl Black, who was a founding Member of Frank Zappa and the Mothers Of Invention

Even Cooler, I had the privilege of meeting Jimmy, back in the late 70's . The first time I met him, he was heading up "Jimmy Carl Black and the Lo Boys" which I frequently saw performances of at the "Bull Dog" bar (no longer exists) . I once asked him why he left the Mothers...His answer was cause he "couldn't stand Los Angeles...".

The 2nd Time I met him, was when I was making a Saturday morning donut run... I stopped in a Winchell's donuts shoppe near my house...and lo and behold, who's the guy running the joint... It was Jimmy... He had bought the store Franchise and was taking a stab at it.. I think he lasted a year before he sold it... Eventualy he moved to Europe
