I don't know either version of "Just the way you look tonight".
What I do know is that Sinatra was a sad excuse for a singer. He did a lot of talking. And that Buble is a true singer.
This is Buble doing what I like.

Now after listening to parts of both versions of "Just the way you look tonight" is clear. Sinatra sucks and yes Buble knocked that song out of the park. Silky smooth.

Just the the way Sinatra trailed off the melody on the second half of some"day". Is so weak. I really REALLY dislike Sinatra's vocals. He sounds so weak and anticlimactic.

I don't know first off I've listened to Sinatra sing that song 1000 times so maybe I'm being a bit bias but Buble's arangement... blase'.
The line "just thinking of you" Buble sounds like his voice is about to crack.
I'll just agree to disagree. But I will say Buble is smooth... yeah he's smooth but he wussified a mans song to a woman... that's quite an accomplishment. At least Frank sounds like a man!
Maybe he has something else I could appreciate without the Sinatra connection. I'll check out the video you posted when I get home. (No YouTube at work!)

Did I hear a very slight auto tuner effect in there?[/b]

Though he is a world class singer that is quite possible. I didn't hear it but that doesn't mean anything. Today's engineers think the masses can't handle anything other than keyboardish perfection. :(

One thing I wanted to bring to your attention because you would
appreciate it is, have you noticed how Johnny Mathis works
with his mic. Always keeping it at a distance. That is a testament
to his vocal power.[/b]

I had an engineer tell me he had to check to make sure autotune wasn't already on on my "let it go" song posted here. He posted later on FB that he got a new autotune in. I told him it better not get anywhere near my vocals! lol!

You know I like to turn the mic down and keep my lips on it. I like the feel. Then when I belt the high notes I back off.

Sometimes his mic is a foot or more away from his mouth.[/b]

He had that amazing vibrato or flutter control. I hear some of that in your style Klugmo.

I use his songs sometimes to practice with. His vibrato and Coles
pronunciation are killer.[/b]
