War is hell.
It is also unfortunately quite a necessity.
There can be no peace in this age.
The best we can hope for is that those whom would attempt serve justice stay one victory ahead of those whom deal only evil.
In my perspective the greatest tragedy in war is that we do not allow our warriors the lee they need to get the job done with minimal risk to themselves.
Go where the enemy is and kill them ... they offer no mercy to those whom they would subject ... they deserve none from our warriors or soldiers.

Your response is exactly how my initial sentiment is/was... But, in my heart, there is such an exceeding sadness...to realize we do this to ourselves...and we don't really 'have' to. To date, none of the world leadership ever consider the Christian process of love, forgiveness and sacrifices, as the alternative...
More importantly, none appear to seek the guidance of GOd. Instead they take matters into their own conscience and act accordingly...We see everyday, what a failure that is...
