I just posted a song, called "Another Rock Song."
Wanna guess which style of music it is?

My question is this: Why does Bandmix not recognize "Rock" as a style of music?
I had to select "other," which seems kind-of retarded to me . . . .

Enjoyable and somewhat reminiscent of a classic from the 60's though for the life of me the name and artist escapes me.

So, seeing as most of the people here are rock musicians, shouldn't Bandmix allow us to call rock songs - "rock?"
. . . or has this subject already come up before?

They should either include rock as a genre or expand it to include other rock genres such as Progressive, Rockabilly, New Wave, etc.

Not too long ago they asked what change we'd like to see.

I don't know how many years of my life have been wasted trying to decide the "closest within sick and twisted reason" to fill in the genre box whenever I post a song. What a PIA that is. Almost makes ya wanna quit playin.........

I always just put the style of music next the title line in Parenthesis.
